SOLD Trijicon RMR 3.25 Dot

Selling a good condition Trijicon RMR with Glock mos plate and weather guard. This is a catch and release for me. Decided to use an acro p2 instead. Looks like previous owner used some type of a shroud since there is some wear on the illumination buttons.

Cleaning the leade area only per Lilja instructions question

My guess is to follow their directions, you'd have to use a cleaning loop because a jag would allow patch to fall off correct? Their instructions are,
(We suggest cleaning in the following manner. After approximately 100 rounds push a dry loose patch through the barrel from the breach end. This pushes out loose fouling. Then take a tighter dry patch and work it back and forth about 10 times in the leade area, pushing it out of the barrel at the muzzle end when finished. ) The patch would fall off of a jag using the back and forth motion. They don't say to use a loop but, seems the only way I know of, to keep the patch in place. Pushing dry loose patch out muzzle could be done using a jag for the first step. Also, are these jags worth it to prevent false positives of copper fouling? If so I'll order one Thanks! (y)

Reloading Equipment 6MM GT Brass

Please send me a PM to communicate. I do not use the comments section to deal or answer questions.

Price for 100 pieces- $80

I have two 100 piece packs of once-fired Hornady 6mm GT brass. It has been deprimed, annealed, shoulder bumped .002, and tumbled. I did not resize or trim necks, leaving that up to the buyer to decide what they want. I will have more up for sale soon if you want more.

Shipping to lower 48 included in the price.

I hate having to do this but I know there will be whiners. To address any complaints and math challenged trolls who think this is too high for once-fired brass, let me pro/con this for you. New Hornady 6GT brass is .84 cents per piece, PLUS whatever the shipping and tax is. For example, a new 100-piece order from a shop known for 6GT in Missouri is $84 + $25.92 in shipping charges to Georgia for a total of $109.92, so in this case you would pay just shy of $1.10 per piece of brass, and this is without tax.

No trades, payment via PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. Shipping will occur once payment is secured, no exceptions. You are welcome to use Goods and Services options, as long as you are covering the fees.

Back from South Africa

I recently returned from my hunting safari with Africa Maximum Safaris in South Africa. For this hunt, I chose the sable package and added on eland, kudu, blesbok, and red hartebeest. I took my CVA Cascade 7 PRC with the 175gr Barnes TSX. I had one shot kills on everything except for the blesbok. He was at 290 yards and fell on the first shot. However, we had to give him a follow-up shot because he tried to get up when we approached him with the vehicle. Plus, I don't want to see an animal suffer and die slowly. The first shot was a touch high. Everything else was one-shot kills. My load is 73.3 grains of N570, COL 3.215", ADG brass, and GM215M primers. It runs 3050 fps. I'm extremely impressed with this rifle and bullet combo.
Here is a short video of the shot on the eland.

This is why you need lots guns & ammo

while supporting first strike,...

When do you say, well that is as good as it is going to shoot.

The rifle in question is a "low number" 1903, with a 10-18 barrel. So chances are it has not seen much use in any of the world wars. The barrel is in good shape for its age.

According to my research:

Standard accuracy for the 1903 was generally around a 2-4 inch grouping at 100 yards.

And mine is running in the 4" range no matter what I try, heavy bullets, light bullets, deeper seating, just a kiss off the lands. The only thing I have not tried are hot loads, right smack dab in the middle of the manuals is where I have been loading them. I even tried some "youth" loads with 125gr bullets. Nothing will move it below 3". I have also tossed the powder drawer at it with no real differences.

I think this old girl is what she is. I bet I have done 200 rounds of testing 5 to 10 rounds at a time. I have 25 of the best so far loaded up, cleaned it to where it is likely better then it was when it left the factory, and as soon as my darn back calms down I will run it out and see how she does. My trapdoor groups better than this old gal.

Question is, two fold. Any suggestions on something I might have missed, and two when do you say.....well this is as good as she does.

In practical terms it is minute of man at 100 all day long.....and really that is what it was made to do.

Battling Mirage - How Mirage Can Impact POI

It took a little while for me to publish this video due to a back issue I've been having, but I finally got it out.

This one takes a look at the basics of mirage, and how it can impact your POI. You guys who regularly shoot in the desert probably know this and will laugh at us uninitiated, but I usually shoot in the hills where we don't get mirage that impacts our POI... or do we?
