I am getting ready to start gathering parts for a 22 ARC build. Right now the only parts I have on hand are a Magpul stock and Geissele Mark 18 handguard. I was looking at the Faxon barrels but not sure if there is a better option. I am thinking about an 18" or 20" stainless barrel. Do I need to go rifle length +1 with the 20" barrel? The main use for the rifle will be coyote, fox, and groundhogs but I am thinking about trying it out on pigs in Florida next year. It will probably put my last Bushnell LRHSi scope with a Seekins cantilever mount on it. It's been awhile since I built an AR so I am looking for suggestions for the upper and lower as well as the lpk. One of my hunting buddies is suggesting a Gibbz side charging upper but I have no experience with them. I don't mind sp3dding a little more to get better quality but would like to keep the build around $1,000 or so.

I have made a batch of bag riders that fit the AI AT rifle. Made from 6061T6 and black anodized. Butt plate adapter is .375 thick and the rider portion is 5.8 long and .75 dia.

After putting a couple hundred rounds through my Tikka 300wsm this summer I’ve been really impressed with it’s performance and ease of shooting even in a lightweight rig. Im planning on starting a target rifle build in 300wsm this spring hopefully. I was thinking of doing it on a medium action (lone peak probably) and a manners with a 22”-24” heavy Palma that I can play around with in some PRS and NRL for fun.
What results are any of you getting with a similar setup running heavies in the 200+ range in medium action?

I’m trying to mimic two setups, for me and one of my kids. I’ll need another deviant action, don’t care if it is the tactical or the hunter. Just need action and bolt, don’t need a barrel but if it’s a screaming deal I’ll buy a barreled action and shitcan the barrel or resell it.

Send me what you have. Well used or new, doesn’t matter as long as it functions.

Defiance Ruckus Tactical Magnum Action (Bought prior to new ownership of the company) paired with 27" Bartlien 400 MODBB 1:8 barrel chambered in 300 PRC (.550 bolt face) by Southern Precision Rifles. Triggertech Diamond trigger installed. Muzzle Brake is a TBAC. Stock is MDT ACC Elite.

Action is a Magnum and comes with additional fitted Bolt (.595 bolt face) and 28" Bartlien 300 NM Barrel. Also machined by SPR. Both barrels are Heavy Palma profile. Comes with two AI mags.

I think I fired about 12rds through it total. Accuracy was sub MOA with Hornady ELD-M but it was some time ago and don't have pics of the single group I fired after zeroing.

Bought a MK22 shortly before finishing this build and have been happy with that in 300 NM so don’t have a use for this rifle now.
