SOLD Mk5 3.6-18 T3 w. Hawkins Tactical Rings

Great condition Mk5 3.6-18 with the Tremor 3 reticle. Non illuminated. Upgrading to a S&B PMII so no trades. Tracks true as far out as I have taken it (1100 yds). Includes the factory flip caps (not the AAD).

Hawkins 1.15" rings with the level and diving board. I shortened the diving board by several pic slots to be flush with the scope, otherwise the diving board was prone to bumping up against clip ons. You can see the difference in the before and after photos below.

$1800 with the rings or $1700 without them.

Night Vision WTS: Minty CNVD LR Full Kit (2376 min FOM with spec sheet) Trades Added

Took this in a trade but I don't shoot steel at night so sending this down the road. I took it from the original owner who bought it new back in May and it is in pristine condition (does not appear to be used hardly at all).

2556 FOM (72lp / 35.5 SNR), 0.5 EBI and 0.72 Halo. No spots on spec sheet, and very clean image from what I have seen (have had all of 2 minutes behind it).

Recent L3 price increases put this at over $11.5k new (I know, some sites show them at $10.5k out of stock), I'm looking to get $9500 for this one shipped and insured 2 day air.

Open to trades, but looking to start a family so cash would be most important to me. I do coyote hunt so a thermal clip on or photonis WP high gain goggles and cash would be of interest

Rifle Scopes Nightforce 12x42 BR Scope

I just acquired a Nightforce 12x42 BR scope at a really good price (couldn't pass it up) and very pleased with it, clarity, adjustments etc. My only concern with it is the 6 MOA per revolution. I don't shoot that much anymore however the benchrest matches I do attend are shot at various distances from 100 to 500 yards. I shoot centerfire out to the 500 yard mark and rimfires out to 250 yards. My custom Shul rimfire requires 30 MOA to reach 250 and my 223 AR needs 13 MOA for 500. With the NF possessing only 6 MOA per revolution I find myself doing a lot of twisting up, pretty easy for me to lose track of where I'm at (I'm 76 years young).

A year ago I purchased a Sightron 8x32 PLR scope for my Seekins 6.5 CM bolt gun, this scope has 1/4 MOA adjustments and 20 MOA per revolution (I really like his scope). I find it so easy to crank it up to all the distances out to 500 yards (Seekins needs just 10 MOA for 500). I'm thinking of selling the NF 12x42 and purchasing a Sightron 10x50 PLR which also has 1/4 MOA adjustments and 20 MOA per revolution. I'm thinking I could use this scope on different rifles and better suit my shooting needs.

Thoughts appreciated on this, good move? Bad move?

Applied Ballistics phone app training?

Does anyone have a current video to show you how to master the AB phone app that's from this century? I ask because I know apps, and how they update them every 34 seconds without your knowledge or approval, meaning that I have to assume that any training video (on really ANYthing computer program wise) will be obsolete by the year's end. I looked around youtube and only found stuff from 3-7 years ago, which is really like 6-14 in cell phone years, so I never really checked them out.

Garmin Chrono Software Glitch (Or Am I Missing Something)?

I've been running the Garmin since it first came out, having run in succession Shooting Chrony, Pro Chrono Digital, Magnetospeed V3, and Labradar over the years. The Garmin has been a quantum leap in my opinion. However, I ran into something this week that I just can't make sense of...

I had hit the end of an 8# jug of Retumbo, and opened a new one from a different Lot #. When I went to the range, I ran 10 rounds over the Garmin (300PRC) - the first two rounds were the last from the old lot of Retumbo, the other eight were from the new lot. The first two rounds were right on track with my established AVG MV for the load. However, when I got to the next eight rounds from the new lot, the MV jumped up about 20fps on average. More than I was expecting, but I get it - the new lot is hotter than the old. The ES for ALL 10 was 38, and the SD 12.8. Since the last eight rounds from the new lot were considerably faster than the first two from the old lot, I wanted to find out what the numbers were for just the new lot, so I deleted the first two shots and checked the Session Summary. My ES went way down from 38 to 24. BUT, my SD jumped up from 12.8 to 15.3. The new ES is correct, but I can't see any way the SD could go UP, especially to 15.3 with only a 24 ES. I've never seen such a high SD-to-ES ratio.

I had this happen once before fairly recently, when I deleted a couple rounds from a string that were suspect due to some inconsistencies that had happened during the reloading process. The suspect rounds were marked prior to firing. When I deleted them from the Session, the ES went down and the SD went up. I thought it was a bit strange at the time, but shrugged it off as just the way the velocities distributed themselves. It wasn't anywhere as dramatic of a shift as this last incident was, though. This time I was sure there was a problem in the way the unit re-calculated the SD.

In the past, if I ever deleted any isolated extreme high or low shots (out of curiosity), the SD would come down along with the ES. However, there was a fairly recent software update pushed, and both of the incidents related above have occurred since that update was installed.

Anyone have any insight?

Extra cant for ZCO420?

I have a shiny new 300 Norma Mag barrel for my DTA SRS A1, and I'm going to mount up a ZCO420. Other barrels I have for the rifle are 338LM, 300WM, 6.5CM and 308. With the 120moa of overall travel in the 420, and a maximum shooting range available to me of 1200 yards, I don't think I'll need any extra cant in the mount. But, would it be advantageous to get a +20 mount? It looks like I would still be good at 100 with the +20, but I'm just not sure I need it. Same price either way ... just looking for the most practical overall choice for the system.

Thanks Fellas

Steel ARCA rails

I'm on the process of adding some weight to the match rifle and also planning on getting an ARCA rail.
I was thinking I might be able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone here. Does anybody make a steel rail. Everything I've found is Al.
Any potential issues with going steel on the rail? I could likely get one milled myself fairly easily.
