AI AX308 barrel identification

Hello,

Trying to identify this barrel manufacturer. Photos attached

I believe it’s the original barrel from a AX308, post ‘14. Looks like it was chopped to 24” from 26” at some point and has remnants of the flats with 308 marking.

It has a CW prefix serial.

Is this a Bartlien?

Thanks,
Ian

Ramshot TAC questions

Today I believe to have ran into my first hurtle with ramshot tac. Being a ball powder and not temp stable how much of a temperature swing cause issues. 5, 10, 20 degrees. I never took temperatures on my first load development this summer. Va hot and humid. Today was 60 degrees when i was shooting. This tells me i need info at certain temperatures if i am thinking correct. Also had my first run in with mirage. Hats of to those compete in shooting or just having fun. Stay there for a got while just watching the mirage affect my glass. Oh and shooting 69gr smk out of a 16" WOA spr barrel.

Broken Election Promises and Hypocrisy: An Apolitical List

Here is a thread where we can track and discuss things politicians at any time and in any political party promised, but failed to deliver on.

I will start.

Obama the first time said something like “Sixteen brigades in Iraq, one brigade per month, the U.S. is out of Iraq in sixteen months.”

And not necessarily a broken promise, but John McCain voting against the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill was a betrayal.

ARC 30 MOA Coup de Gras action with PVA 26" stainless M24 barrel and Timney Hit trigger-$2075 cost, sell for $1950 TYFFL

MDT XRS chassis with Area 419 Pic rail and 2 magazines $860 cost sell for $625 TYD

If broken up barreled action must sell first or I'll just keep it.

44 rounds of Hornady 180 ELD Match down the pipe, shot sub moa out to 400 which is all I have at my range right now. I have the boxes for the scope, stock, trigger and brake, everything LNIB. I also have a considerable amount of Hornady Ammo to negotiate with. Not really looking for trades but if you make me a deal of the century who knows.

The coming tantrum

While I thought Kamala’s concession speech was pretty good about not being divisive (she still made some low key jabs in the second half) the ultra left are still losing their shit and Inauguration Day is going to get seriously sporty in and around DC! We have a group chat with my brothers and cousins and the one pink haired cousin despite the no politics or religion rule is LOSING HER SHIT at anyone and everyone who didn’t adamantly oppose the orange bad man to the point that cousins are leaving the group. If her behavior is remotely representative of the ultra left they may seriously regret authorizing the National Guard getting involved on Inauguration Day.

Not to be left out...Kali

I guess he didn't want the gov of MA to get all the glory.

Reactions: Charmingmander

I predict Social Unrest will be cued up soon!

I hope I am wrong, but I got a feeling BLM, ANTIFA, LBGQTB+ have been put on standby.

They are just waiting for the next George Floyd event to happen and start burning down cities again in the name of social justice.

The MSM is will do everything possible to make Trump and his garbage deplorable’s responsible for any inequality or so-called injustice.

I bet the FBI has somebody they’ve been grooming/watching for the next mass shooting, don’t worry it’ll be some deranged white guy with no social media history wearing some sort of right wing T-shirt or hat.

Like I said, I hope I’m wrong.

This just feels too good.

GOP Lawsuits Challenge Overseas Ballots In Key Swing States

I hope they bring it all out

Republican officials have filed lawsuits in three battleground states challenging the legitimacy of overseas ballots, including those cast by U.S. military personnel, claiming without evidence that such votes are rampant with fraud.

Election officials and experts, noting that the process of casting overseas ballots had not previously been controversial, have countered by arguing that the GOP lawsuits are meant to cast doubt on the election should the party turn in a poor performance.

The Republican National Committee recently sued election officials in North Carolina and Michigan in state courts, claiming that they are allowing voters with unverified residency status to cast overseas ballots in their respective elections.

“North Carolinians and Michiganders should not have their votes canceled by those who’ve never lived in the state in the first place — plain and simple. This is illegal and we will stop it,” RNC Chairman Michael Whatley said in a statement.

In addition, a federal lawsuit filed last week by a group of House Republicans in Pennsylvania argues that voter ID requirements are not stringent enough to prevent fraud in overseas ballots. The suit alleges that Pennsylvania Secretary of State Al Schmidt, a Republican, has instructed officials to allow U.S. citizens voting overseas to be exempted from voter ID requirements.

Pennsylvania, Michigan and North Carolina are three states that do not require overseas citizens first provide identification to be sent a ballot, a fact that former President Donald Trump has baselessly claimed would allow Democrats to steal the election. Those voting overseas have previously registered to vote in their last confirmed state of residency, where they needed to present ID and provide their signature.
Patrick Gannon, a spokesperson for North Carolina's bipartisan State Board of Elections, told NBC News that the current rules have been in place for 13 years. A change, he said, would prevent military families and other citizens from casting a vote. If the GOP had an issue with this, he said, the party should have challenged the rules for voter eligibility "well before an election, not after votes have already been cast."
Michigan and Pennsylvania's top election officials have accused Republicans of trying to disenfranchise voters and spread mistrust about U.S. elections.

Patriot Valley Arms Modus Rifle

Everybody loves new rifle stories so I figured I'd share one. Patriot Valley Arms has been around here for a long time, but they just started offering this Modus rifle from the factory. The Modus is a precision built light hunting rifle, there are ultralight options as well for an added cost. I used the rifle this year for hunting season with great results. Mine is a 6.5PRC but it is available in other calibers as well. If your curious, you can read more about the rifle in the link below:
