Night Vision UTC Owners - mount riser for 1.5" rail to center

Those of you who own the UTC thermal devices no the factory mount puts the optic centerline at 1.31", while the standard for pretty much all military clip-on devices is 1.5". I got a request to create a riser to put the UTC on 1.5", so I made an aluminum block to go between the throw lever and the device. Recoil lugged to match the LaRue interface. Since I have material and the dimensions, if anyone is interested in having one made let me know. They will be $40 shipped.

I can't say it's critical to get on center, but it will help minimize any offset and perhaps better center the screen in your optic.

Red dot and mount combo for Spuhr 4002

I’m looking to add a a red dot at 12 o clock to my Spuhr mount for target acquisition for PRS and had a couple questions.

1. What is a good red dot everyone is running? Seems like a lot of RMR but are there other popular ones for this use case?

2. For those with Spuhr mounts what red dot + spacers/mounts are you using to stay low profile but still get a good fov?

When you are a leftist commie Democrat Satanist of Color... and The WAPO won't endorse you...

You must really suck!!!!

Oh wait... we are talking about Cackle Snatch here.

She DOES suck!

And apparently has the IQ of a fencepost! According to Mel Gibson ;-)

It's not a 'great' October surprise. I'm still hoping for a better one. Like Tim Walz being discovered at the Budweiser Breweries blowing Clydesdales. With Paul Pelosi.

But the sheep stupid enough to have their Harris/Walz signs in their yard because they were told and have TDS... well, they'll still vote for them. Numerous times. Along with their illegal maids and gardners.

Firearms ARC Nucleus 2.0/PVA 20" 6BR barreled action

xdrRyV6.jpg

Selling a 20" 6BR Lapua barreled action consisting of ARC Nucleus 2.0 and 20" PVA/Rock Creek 1:7.5 Medium Palma barrel (at this time, pictured KRG Bravo & Match Pro ED are not for sale).

I was lazy with my log, but I'd estimate 250 rounds down the barrel. It shot 107 SMK and 108EHs very well, but range time has been limited the last few years and I've already got a Dasher.

Asking $1200 shipped to your FFL for the barreled action only; can include a Timney 510v2 trigger for an additional $100 and/or an ARC action wrench for an additional $75. Prefer payment via Paypal F&F, and you'd need to confirm your FFL will accept a transfer from an individual.

Thanks...

SOLD NF NX8 1-8 DMX w. Badger C1 1.54"

Lightly used NX8 1-8 with the capped DMX reticle.

Badger C1 1.54" 20moa with the C1 accessory ring cap (ARC) so you can run anything on the top. Includes the Tenebrex caps. I'd keep the side bubble level, RMR, and RMR top plate.

You can see a bit of black smudge between the zoom ring and the rear ocular locking ring. Left over residue from some electric tape that I'd used to make sure that the eyepiece didn't loosen. I can probably get it off with some Goo gone.

Glass is great, took it to 700 over the summer.

$1650 shipped for the setup.

What XBolt and What round

Trying to make an informed decision on my next rifle for hunting. Going with the Xbolt. It seems going with the Xbolt 2 vs xbolt is a no brainer, although can save 200ish on the original xbolt.

-Im debating between the 7prc and 300winmag, I like the 7prc's numbers and the fact its marginally better then the 300 but had less recoil. However its a new round and long term availability, is a concern. I can not order ammo online where I live. I also like to get custom turrets find ammo and run it, so dont want to play the hard to find game. and have the ability to hit any gun shop and find a box of ammo if needed. Really leaning toward the 300 due to ease of ammo

-Looking at the Xbolt(2) down to the speed and the speed LR. along with the speed sporter. I really like the sporters as they come in at 40-42in overall length with the brakes, vs the others are 44 to 46 and some change, which is a long rifle to be throwing around. I am concerned about the accuracy of the sporters. I wont be getting a can for the sporters. The 7prc comes with a 20in and 24in barrel and the 300 in a 22 and 26in, understand the 4in is going cost me 200ft per second. still going to keep me at the 1800-2k ft per second in the 4-500 range.

-Some models come with the radial brake some come with the Recoil hawg, any thoughts on either, read the hawg is better but heavier, and heard the radial can come loose throwing off shots and spits back into your face

I shoot deer mainly in the 3-500 range, have taken deer out to 700. I would say I want something that is the most accurate under 1000yds, of which I think any of these would do, but is one combo better then the other.

anybody have good luck with any particular ammo in either of these rounds in these guns.

What am i seeing in my scope?

As the title says, what am I seeing in my scope?

It's a Razor 1-6. I have never had problems with it before, and after scouring the internet, can't find any similar photos of this.

If set my magnification to 1x, on the lower left I see what appears to be an adjuster with a screw or something visible.

I double checked to make sure I'm not turning below 1x and it lines up perfectly at 1x. For me to make it disappear out of view, I have to zoom in to approximately 1.4-1.5x magnification.

I contacted Vortex and have sent it back. I use this on my work gun for our SWAT team and really hope that they will just replace the optic all together. We will see what happens. But I'm really curious as to what I'm seeing as I really don't expect Vortex to call or tell me what it is.

Opinions?

Hunting & Fishing Mossberg 500 Turkey/Deer combo experience / opinions

Looking to get some feedback from firsthand users on the 500 Turkey/Deer combo. I have never owned a 500, but I have a lot of time behind the M590 while in the Marine Corps. I love the 590 platform but the only Mossberg shotgun that I have personally owned is the 930 JM Pro which was great. But how are the new production 500 & specifically the Turkey Deer gun? Is the slug barrel accurate? How do they wear, are there any issues to know of? My other option is an 870. I prefer the old Express from when Remington was on top (90’s and older), but I am considering a new 870. I know the old 870s very well, but I have only handled the new versions and they seem decent. Thoughts on either?
