This first photo is from a different rifle with very similar specs just to establish a baseline of my load/shooting capability. From left to right is 40.0, 40.1, and 40.2. As you can see 40.2 is the clear winner here.
Now here is are the groups from the second rifle. First thing I’m noticing is there seems to be a lot of single shots that don’t group (circled in red). But also the tightest grouping I’m seeing is 0.69 - 0.79. These are all custom parts from custom manufacturers so sub half moa groups should be obtainable like in the first photo.
This target was from today after I identified a powder charge I thought the barrel liked (39.8).
It liked 41.3 but as you can see there was another inconsistent shot. So my question is should I:
A) stick with 41.3 and play with seating depth
B) change bullet grain and re-do powder charges or;
C) reload the charges and go shoot the same test.
Just looking for a little help on taming this 18” barrel.

Hello, am looking to sell a rifle which has just been sitting in the safe. It is built on an ARC Nucleus 1.1 in an Xylo chassis.
Here is the lowdown.
ARC Nucleus Gen 1.1 action .378 bolt face installed.
ARC XYLO chassis
K&P barrel 1-7.75 twist .223 chamber throated for Berger 85.5 long range hybrid.
Barrel chambered by Chad Dixon at Long Rifles Inc
Trigger Tech Primary trigger
2 MDT magazines. Work flawless
.473 bolt head
Including an Area 419 barricade stop as well.
Bipod not included but available for $125.
The rifle is in great shape with only about 200 or so rounds down the pipe from the previous owner.
Local pickup in the Houston area can be arranged. Shipping and ins included at my asking price. Payment via the usual electronic methods with Zelle being preferred. Check out my feedback and you’ll see I don’t BS. Not interested in trades at the moment.
