Hey guys, I just finished my first 6 ARC build and I've noticed my barrel is not centered inside the handguard. You can see in the picture that it's leaning noticeably to the viewer's left/shooter's right. Is this normal/something that sorts itself out with optic zeroing? Am I being overly nitpicky? Could I fix it by lapping/"truing" the upper receiver?

Use case: planning to shoot PRS with this build

When I am scrolling down through a community forum, e.g., post exchange, I get to a point where the scrolling stops and it keeps loading and refreshing the bottom two entries but never lets you continue past them. They just keep flashing / disappearing and reappearing. Happens on iPhone and iPad, but not on PC. Any ideas?

Realized I have a 2012 vintage Remington 700 (xcr lr tac) sitting in my safe along with an extra TT diamond and a spare manners T4a. My son (high school) enjoys shooting with me but dislikes shooting my 308 Impact as he finds the recoil to be excessive. He is extremely fit but fairly lean, so I am thinking of sending the Remington barreled action down to Bugholes for a trueing and re-barrel with an M24 Bartlein. This would be a range/entry level match gun. Right now I am bouncing between the 6.5 and 6 mm CM. I have heard the 6 is more shoulder friendly, but concerned I am giving up anything by not going to the 6.5. Right now we will be using factory ammo. For a scope he will get one of my ATACR 7-35s (F2 as he prefers it at this point), but i do have a spare ZCO 527 for when he becomes more comfortable with f1.
So the question is which cartridge would you move forward with? Thanks

What’s for sale?

A test-fit/assembled Gray Ops 34mm tube 1.54” height 0 MOA scope mount with long pic rail, bubble level, and Send-It level mount. Basically, the full “system” unfired, just mocked up. Didn’t even have this one out to the range.

I really like these mounts though I have too many mounts and not enough scopes or rifles at the moment! Super well thought out mount with steel threadserts for the crossbolts, serrated accessory mounting interface, serialized caps and mount, directional identifiers and such. From behind the gun you can see the bubble level without shifting focus, the diving board is tall without being too tall, and the Send It mount placement is very flexible.

What’s it cost?

Asking $475 shipped and insured. May consider offers, but these are really pricey mounts. All together these items have a >$584 retail value! Payment via basically any discreet electronic method (Zelle, CashApp, PPFF or Venmo), USPS money order, etc.

Recently bought a used manners tcs in matte finish, after cleaning it I realized I love the wet high shine finish better. Has anyone clear coated a matte finish with automotive clear coat or something similar and how did it turn out/ hold up?

What are your experiences with this bullet. When I first became familiar with it I bought a TON of them and now I'm trying to figure out exactly what place they have on my reloading bench. I do have two 6 Creedmoor rifles and a 243 and while the Creedmoors seem to like the bullet, I can't say that theyt love them compared to some others out there.

What works for you folks?

New'ish to night vision, but I would like to get my dad a thermal or night vision set-up for coyotes. He typically hunts from a shack overlooking a lake and about 450 yards of maximum shooting range, most shots being within 250ish, but some 450 yard shots could come up.

He is a user-friendliness guy, so if its a whole thing with a scanner and scope with complicated features, he won't end up using it. I'm really hoping to start him with a good clip-on or scope and then wean him onto the idea of a scanner slowly, because I know how important the scanner will be once he's willing to tote along another piece of gear. It will be enough to get him to take the tripod.

Budget would be 4k or less, ideally. Would like 640 resolution if I go thermal, but no other features necessary. LRF would be nice, but might make my budget impossible. No onboard recording or anything like that because he'll never use it. If a case can be made for NV, such as battery life, I'm amenable to that over a thermal because he will hate charging it.

In terms of clip-on vs. scope, I don't really know the answer. He has a lot of scoped rifles and may love being able to throw it on any gun and run without taking off the scope or having a dedicated gun for it. But is it that easy to run a clip-on? Might that be too complicated? He will want a good field of view, particularly because he won't start with a scanner.

Bought this hoping to use it on a Rim-X, but it doesn't fit. Never installed, only taken out of the box to realize my error. (Rim-X has a bolt release on the side of the action, not from in front of the trigger).

No buttstock or grip, just as it comes from MDT.

Hello All,

I just bought a set of Hornady Custom dies, and the full-length sizing die is leaving these nasty gouges in the necks of my brass.

The casings are virgin Lapua brass, and lubed with RCBS case slick spray.

Has anyone else seen this before? Was it fixable? Should I return my Hornady dies and buy a Redding set with bushings?
