Any F1 racing fans?

Curious to see in time if Yuki can tame the front end of the RB. I think they made a mistake getting rid of Perez honestly. He performed well in that car until Emilia-Romagna last year. Then he took a dump. Might as well just park the second car every race if they prefer to design the car 100% around Max.

Wild they gave up Sainz for him given the good he gave performance the last 2 years. Hamilton has been slowly slipping.

It was a money grab, Ferrari merchandise sales exploded something crazy like 40%. That is a lot of money. lewis will ride out his 2-3 years and ride off into the sunset with a couple hundred million more.
IMO the only possibility is if Ferrari nails the rules changes for next year, then he may have #8.

The most exciting thing honestly about this season is the quality of the rookie class. Stellar driving so far given the circumstances except for Doohan. I just doubt he’ll have time left before Colapinto steps in.

Anyone planning on a race this season? I'm taking my twin daughters to Vegas in Nov. for the 21th birthday they Love the F1 too..
Just waiting on the tickets.
I was thinking about doing Vegas too but I have too many big money plans this year so I will probably plan on next year. Used to go to Indy races as a kid. My dad always got Long Beach and Fontana pit and suite tickets for those through his work. Its what got me into racing.

Yea that's understandable but from a pure race and performance aspect it was a poor choice. Can't really blame the car when George routinely was out performing him. Seeing the same with leclerc now.

What i really want to see is piastri destroy Norris. Next to George he's my least favorite driver by a large margin.

Flavio is going to tank that team before he's ultimately fired. Dude is a goon and years beyond relevance. F1 has changed so much since his success and has left him behind. As evidenced by his decision to hire Doohan.

Same. I don't get too wrapped up in the personalities of drivers, but Norris really does seem like a whiny bitch. That and since all F1 media seems to be British and they are overly biased, I enjoy seeing the British drivers get beat.

When there are lots of driver changing seats you need 4-5 races compared to 20 years ago it was 1-2 races maximum.

The budget restriction on sims, wind tunnel, track time makes it impossible to get the driver, crew, and car on the same page.

They just can’t get enough hours to set up cars differently, so by default they have to make both cars match the primary driver in the beginning of the season. Especially if he’s a carryover. They need both cars data.

That hamstrings the second driver immensely with a new team.

I don't know what it is, but I have never liked Hamilton. Going back to his entry into F1 with Mclaren under Ron Dennis. Something about him.....totally unlikable.

While I agree with you, I was hoping to see a much better showing from Sainz at Williams. Especially with how pre-season testing went. He has been there long enough, with enough time logged on the vehicle and in sims that I wouldn't have expected such a poor showing the first three races. Especially since Albon is collecting points so the car is a midpack competitive car. I was really hoping he would have a good showing at Williams since Ferrari booted him to pick up Hamilton.

Everyone curses and makes fun of Ferrari..because they are a shit show lol

But they rarely get rid of good drivers. They don’t develop well (although it could be like the cowboys in football, your expected to be better than you are), but after driving for Ferrari they usually don’t jump up the grid.

Agree, as some one else mentioned his name helped with merch sales. IDK about all that, I don't follow F1 that close

Since my childhood have alway rooted Ferrari. While Hamilton was and still is a damn good driver, I never cared for him so hate to see Ferrari pick him up, especially when he is on the back side of his prime.
