I noticed when I shoot suppressed, the end of my barrel gets really dirty. It doesn't seem to hurt the accuracy at all but I was wondering if anyone else has a problem with too much powder residue build up at the muzzle when shooting suppressed and how often do you clean your barrel/muzzle area?

Thats just the way it is. Shoot a gas gun suppressed and look at your brass.

Carbon cleaner like GM Top Engine Cleaner works great but so does butches bore shine. Use a brass bristle brush with it to clean the threads and muzzle when you get ready but, other than looks, it's OK.

I have been down this road and have decided for me the best thing is to keep it clean. I have noticed if I let it build up and then clean my barrel the solvent will clean some off and leave it in other placed and my accuracy goes to hell untill I clean it all off. If I were able to some how not disturb it when I clean my bore all would be good but it inadvertently happens. So when the bore get cleaned so does the muzzle. I would be intrested in hearing what others have found.

I use a razor blade to scrape it away from the end of the crown when the build up gets to where it might affect accuracy. Just go slow and mind the crown and you will be ok. I get most of it off with the razor blade then the rest off with solvent.

I think I would be worried about marring the crown in the long run? maybe I'm wrong?

use some gun cleaner or Isso paste and a towel ... I would not use metal of any type ...

But that is just me

As to cleaning .. when accuracy falls off.
