Ok fellows. I'm out of Retumbo. I picked up 3#'s of us869. I shoot the 230 Bergers out of a custom win mag. Anybody running this powder out of a win mag???

Tag for future interest. I'm sitting on a couple pounds myself with a handful of otm and a custom 300win mag inbound. 26in sendaro contour broughton 5c with tomb brake. I have used 869 with 338 lapua and 300ultra with pretty good success. I think it has potential with a bullet as heavy as the 230 in the 300 win
Funny you say that. I've got a 30" broughton 5c sendaro (5.75) with a Shrewd brake. With 74.5 Retumbo I'm getting 3015. That's 2 grains under max. It's a stone cold hammer of a rig
3015 with the 230's? shit I should be able to get 2850 then i would think. I have never owned a broughton but i bought 2. Got a 20" m24 contour broughton 5c 308 in a manners mcs-t with PTG bottom metal on a stiller tac30AW and a 300wm 26in sendaro broughton 5c on a worked rem700 with same bottom metal and stock as the 308. Getting them done by Russell at Scout Supply company. My 308 should be on its way this week
I just ran the numbers on that bullet at 2850 with the G7 calculator at longrangehunting.com and I think I know what bullet I will be shooting in my 300wm. That is some crazy numbers for a 300wm. Still over 1000ftlb of energy at 1300yds. The whitetails will pay this year haha

Didn't know hodgdon had that up. But I will say this the pressure levels are way under Max and I got a lot of free bore. My loads are 3.719" average. I should be ok. Thanks miles
