Rifle Scopes New Horus Vision optic!

Many great shooters on here have used this scope. Glass quality is usually commensurate with the price tag...although there is a fair amount of subjectivity on this subject. The Falcon's glass is serviceable.

Tracking can be an issue with the other Horus scopes, except the HDMR, which is a probably the best scope out there for the money.

The warranty sucks on the other H brand scopes except the HDMR because you can send it off to Bushnell for repair!

This.
You are overpaying for the scope buying it directly from Horus, and that model is nothing to get excited about.
They also sell (sold?) rebranded Bushy HDMRs for more money minus the warranty.

If I wanted a scope with a Horus reticle, I'd be buying it in a Leupy, Bushy, or other OEM, not from Horus.

Thats interesting.

Not totally impressed with Bush glass and if you read the fine print on the web site they go on about glass quality and exact tracking. But if I believed that stuff then I would expect a juicy burger when ever I eat at McDonalds.

That said the Tremor reticle. Thanks for the feedback.

I guarantee the Bushy has better glass than the scope you linked to.
Granted, it is not the best out there, but it is serviceable, just ask the guys winning competitions with them.
A few days ago there was a listing in the Optics for sale forum here including (among others) an ERS (10 mil/rev, zero stop) with H59 for $1400 NIB.

If you want a Horus plus better glass than the Bushy ETs you're looking at S&B ($4k my estimate) or some higher end Leupy (Mark6 or Mark8, Mark 4 glass is not better than Bushy ET) and you're gonna pay at least $2500.

I know Hakko was making optics for Horus in the past, that still may be the case but I am not 100% certain. Hakko also produced optics for Springfield Armory, quality was hit and miss and glass was average at best, and average is a relative term. If I am not being negative enough, I have never been a fan of the Horus reticles, with the exception of its use in a spotting scope, I think it really shines in this application. I will admit, I almost purchased a Horus Talon a while back, but reports on the optics qulaity turned me away.

Oh yeah, I'm not knocking Bushnell. I do know a lot of guys were using them for sniper competitions for sure. I'm just being a snob right now. I have SnB, Kahles, bla bla so just a little spoiled. The warm tinge is a little turn off for me.

That said if the Falcon was good it would be a steal considering price.

I guess my real curiosity was the Tremore reticle and it's wind hold over scheme. I know that Hardnett (spelling?) was one of the guys behind this theme. As well my Kestrel 4500 (purchased on his advice) has some Accuracy First wind correction fields and it's possible it works in conjunction with this reticle?

As Cap Kirk says, "hit and miss" so it sounds disappointing. But it would be best to check one our for myself, at least Horus is up the road so I could call them and ask if a visit would be possible.

Information appreciated.

I have Steiner, March, USO... and Bushnell Elite Tactical.
Not every rifle warrants $3k glass... at least not when I'm paying for it.

Horus are a bunch of assclowns.

If they change their attitude towards customers and start providing actual warranty service for their products I might change my tune but until then give your money to companies who actually care about their image.

Do they look like this guy? I'm just playing, I would have to judge for myself. But I don't doubt your pissed at them.
