One time hunt at a place I was very successful at, but will not be returning to. Central Texas.
Here’s the spot I like best. I can see both wheat fields. 800 yards to the edge of the right field and 600 to the edge of the left. In SW Oklahoma.

This is looking to the west. My stand is in Northern MN on a high voltage line. I can see 700 yards+ to the West, and about 600 to the east.
I run a Big Buddy propane heater and have a 20 pound tank outside the shack. Being cold is foolish anymore.

hahaha thank you! It's got more character than most ranches I've seen. Blessed to be able to hunt it!
The best part is that it produces, and is only getting better. 160" (right at 160.0") low fence whitetail harvested last year, with only 1 year of protein feeding (so he was big even before).

I had a semi serious invite to a place similar, out towards Water Valley in the sameish area. Might have to follow that one up. 160 for low fence is fantastic! Not many make it that that big around here.
Buddy of mine who has 27 acres in Clarke County, VA. The action is mostly right in this little valley.

I would do that! There can be some big ones around especially if the surrounding area hasn't been hunted too hard or inappropriately. Depends on the ranch.
Yea I know why he survived to be that big though, he was very very cautious. We had to hunt almost every day, and we still never saw him at the feeder when we were in the blind. He was always a step ahead it seemed like. We got lucky and happened to notice him bedded down with a couple does in the middle of the day far off by a cement water trough. This was towards the end of the rut, so I guess that explains his "out of character" behavior that day. My friend was able to put a stalk on him and make a longer shot with his .25-06 as he stood and started to trot off into cover. He was DRT, and now resides in the lodge as a shoulder mount.

Here’s a picture of some BLM land in Wyoming that I’ve hunted in the past. Over that ridge, the terrain gets steep but there are lots of critters out there...
This is astounding. I would love to have close access to something like this.
Wyoming truly does have some beautiful country to hunt. I feel lucky to be able to live in such an awesome state!??

Killed a big bodied old 8 point cull this morning
Hoping to ambush a doe or pig in this improvised stand.
Well, not a pig or a deer. Not a bad end to a afternoon hunting.
My best stand here on my place is the kitchen/dining windows.
