Son of a bitch, 5 officers just got shot less than 10 miles from me

I just got a news alert on this.

Following it right now. Five officers hit, all transported to hospital. One had to be Life-Flighted.

TWO suspects DRT now. Can they deploy FLIR-1 and get the third SOB's heat signature in that house and then give him the lead enema?

Prayers for the officers who had been struck. Hope they pull through.

Never mind on the hospitals. Level 1 trauma centers. I just remember when I lived there a long time ago you didn't want to go to those two old places

Waste of blood and treasure
No knock warrants have gained nothing. Killed liberty and cops.
you can go out tonight and find any drug you want.

Memorial Hermann is a badass place. They are very solid in penetrating trauma care.
Momma’s first job out of school was in the medical ICU at Hermann.

We have a place like that here, Denver Health. Great hospital. Lefty nutjobs but dang they do a good job taking care of the sick. Used to be a bit of a dump.
The ER is nicknamed the knife and gun club.

Prayers for the officers. Dang.

Hi,

Well appears all officers are part of IIRC Narcotics Task Force 15.
News reports are saying Houston Police Union is requesting no names of the officers be released since they all work undercover.
1 officer that was shot in the shoulder is already home.
2 more officers (1 shot in leg and other hurt his knee taking cover) are expected to go home tomorrow.
Remaining officer is shot in the neck and in critical condition.

Sincerely,
Theis

Sounds like they followed up on a tip with an undercover investigation and were under armed despite the known danger. They need to start serving these types of warrants with grenades, flame throwers, and machine guns set up. We need to go back to WWII and study the USMC doctrine on approaching suspected pill boxes. A satchel charge would have been nice.

Or, IDK. Don't waste money and live on this BS

You're kind of thoughts about getting them dopers and now terrorists are why we have no liberty anymore. Probably all about asset forfeiture too.

Please keep in mind that this was a tip from a neighbor, do you want satchel charges thrown into your house because of a tip from a neighbor? Also the number of times officers go to the wrong house? It happens occasionally. Prayers to the officers and their families. Lets not militarize the police anymore than they already are.

You know what. Fuck the drug war and all who are enforcing it. You are worse than the drug fiends. You can't even hit the right house yet you want to throw satchel charges in people's houses? You steal money and property with no due process or convictions. You sexually assault men and women trying to find drugs. Sorry. All out of fucks to five when organized crime gets hurt. And I've never smoked a cigarette let alone drugs

Maybe you guys need a constitution class in academy. Probably a morals course also.

Gangs, wear all kinds of rags an demand obedience/allegiance under that threat of loss of freedom, injury or death. In truth, perception is all that is holding good men from doing the right thing in the long run, as no one gets out alive. There is a long black train for everyone,...

I'll get on board with legalizing all drugs when the law also allows me to set a drug dealers house on fire and shoot anyone that runs out of it. The "war on drugs" is destructive And so are the drugs.

Remember Drug dealers in reality are no different than those supplying the hard stuff in Chicago when Capone was alive. Only difference is the gov was not competing/compensating Capone with jobs an rewarding them with stature or allowing them to keep what they steal, under the color of law. Brave new world, however some items will still end what is wrong from the get go.

It's good to have you back, old man.

Street view 7815 Harding Street. That little beige house with the big tree in the front was the target. Like shooting sardines in a can. Oh, and BTW, anybody that took my Iwo Jima dogma seriously is a fucking nutcase. :) Don't make me look like a troll with your stupid fruitcake shit.

Why are 5 undercover officers, serving a warrant by themselves?

Hi,

They weren't...there were 12 undercovers from the Narcotics unit and 6 uniformed officers.
Notice the Chief said they "Announced themselves as they breached". The uniformed officers were there to turn sirens and lights on per the Chief, lol.

Sincerely,
Theis

Old yes.
Good to be back, jury is out in both circles. Been away teaching, among other things an have switched gears do to the horseshit going around this A/O an country. Time has come to start pushing back, an get the truth to the front of the line. Fucking with the left, pretending patriots, an fence ridding assholes, no matter their rank or venue is now a new pass time.

Sounds like a no knock to me. Waste of time resources etc. Glad we have people on both sides getting hurt and killed. Can't find drugs anywhere now.

Agreed. Did you catch this thread?

I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on it. The APIs are about 90% specced out and about 20% complete. Infrastructure is good for V1, and the piping is there. Need a good web developer that wants to work for little or no money, I may have found a guy, but it remains to be seen what he's capable of. The way it's set up makes it really easy to add new "endpoints" which consist of a phone number, instructions on how to reach a human, and metadata about who it is we're calling. Start with congress, move on to more sensitive subjects. Fuckin' with the left in my own small way :ROFLMAO:

that's why a doorway is called the "fatal funnel"

Doorways and staircases (if you have em') are choke points when it comes to dealing with home intruders. Whoever holds the high ground above a staircase or a hidden position with adequate view beyond a door wins a firefight. Keep that in mind if you are trying to figure out the best way to protect a property.

When I was living in my now ex-GF's house (2 story) there was a cute little Victorian-style cabinet with one drawer right in the 2nd floor hallway between the bedroom and bathroom in full view of the stair landing. I placed a Glock and an extra mag inside that drawer. (No children in the household. Drawer is lockable and I have one of the keys on me all the time) The neighborhood wasn't what you would call "bad", but there was a recent rash of break-ins and attempted burglaries with injuries reported so I wanted to be on the safe side. My main CCW is holstered and kept inside the bedroom when I am in her house, but in the case we got surprised while I am away from the room, I can "surprise" right back pretty quickly.

It's not rape if you yell surprise.

I would suggest that if you have some concerns about the area, keep a gun on you at all times in the house, even if it's just a pocket pistol.
Don't count on being able to walk to the cabinet, pull out the keys, unlock it & get to the gun, or have time to get to the bedroom and pull the gun out.

When you hear the sound of a door being kicked in and go to grab your weapon, even just bending down to reach under the bed that you are sitting beside, pulling the weapon out of a sleeve holster and chambering a round seems like an eternity of time in the moment.

That is pretty sound and makes perfect sense. Having followed the Armed Citizens column in American Rifleman and NRA-ILA, as well as articles by Massad Ayoob and Marc MacYoung, it only takes seconds for bad shit to snowball if the perps are determined enough to make entry and carry out whatever agendas on their minds...Like a dry Christmas tree being ignited.

Now that the market is pretty saturated with cheap, compact 9mm pistols, I would also recommend getting a couple as "all purpose" defense guns. In the event I have to use them in a SD situation, I'd put those on the front line anytime instead of my valuable, heirloom grade handguns.
