The good news about this new full frontal assault on the 1st amendment, is that unlike the 2nd amendment that half the country seems to think shouldn't exist, a lot of the supposed "voting base" for the SJW types is going to be rather upset about this law and it may finally wake some people up to see the Democrats for the full on Communist dictators they really are.
Possibly, don't believe they'll be upset of it's the "Right" people being silenced.

There have been plenty of opportunities to fight this within the legal system, but no one has been. If this eruption of violence happens like they hoped for monday, they get what they want, and they win.

You are quite correct. So just figure out how to get the law used when a Democrat talks against a Republican and that law will be gone so fast the judges will be fighting each other to issue an immediate injunction.

More on topic - I think intersectionality is the reason these sorts of speech-limiting actions are now popular on the left. IE, it's ok to tell other people their speech isn't allowable as long as you tick the right boxes and can claim to be more virtuous. In this case, we (your leaders) are doing the right thing so we shall not be criticized. This trend has to be infuriating for old-school liberals who spent their youth demanding for free speech and the right to protest.

Nobody wants a damn civil war. As I’ve said in the past, anyone that has seen the ravages of what war, especially a civil war can bring on a country and their fellow men, would never wish that upon anyone. But, I’m getting tired of this so called waiting for the right time. Nobody is doing anything really.
Frankly, I was shocked by the turnout in VA, not because I think there is a lack of patriots but a lack of active ones. Regardless, a damn protest ain’t really going to have any bearing on these people. If that didn’t scare the shit out of them then nothing will aside from showing up at their mansion in the middle of the night in masks making a valid point and leaving them thinking they need to think twice about trampling on anymore rights. But to be honest I’m not even sure that will work.
If this so called playbook rolls out across the US, like the masters intend, then are we going to do something? My point is that people can keep saying we are going to wait until the opportune time to do something until it’s too late. As I’ve said, I’ve heard that statement for damn near 37 years now. Why wait? We should get active now, start mobilizing, start training together, put a positive notion out in public about militias instead of the bad rep they get now, get younger people shooting, donate more to orgs that support our cause, encourage likeminded people to get in politics and so on. The same crap we’ve been saying but probably fail to do. I think this is in large part because our side doesn’t know what to do and has nobody leading them.

Climb that mountain one step at a time and leave positive vibes for gun owners in your wake. That’s how we win this. We, as a community are always on the defensive, always. Monday was a rally, not a protest. It was more peaceful than a 'riot' in Switzerland.
If you do not know what a protest is, google Hong Kong, Iran, France. There are plenty of options between a rally and a full blown civil war.

Ok, this is -still- a free country. So do what you think is best, load some ammo, train and prepare yourself for the day that hopefully never comes. Consider yourself the civilian version of the ballistic missile sub that lurks in the shadows to lay waste on someone who went too far.
But on the global stage, we do not sit idle until we have to nuke someone. We use economical sanctions and other means to get the point across. Unfortunately, the People do not have the rights and means for drone strikes on domestic enemies, so we have to come up with some other strikes that are within the legal and practical realm.
Mass protests have changed a lot of things in this and other countries. If the rulers choose to fire at unarmed protesters (as they have done before in this country) then by all means be there and go full retard.
