I hear how good the fx120i is but no feedback on matchmaster... so just curious on my end
That’s how I felt.. I didn’t see a wow factor for the price... seems there’s a reason soo many people went with fxMy bet is in this community at least... most people just went with the fx setup since it's a known thing. And in the videos the MatchMaster didn't like "destroy" the v3 setup. So no one really has one....
This makes sense for sureYou should buy the fx120 on principal. People begged RCBS for a more accurate scale for years and it took a rifle shooter to invent a better system on his own to get them off their asses.
The fx120 can/will/does measure charges, accurately, to a +/- tolerance of ONE kernel of powder.
I've never even talked to somebody with a matchmaster let alone heard of anyone making the claim it could keep up.
Even if it did? What's it offer the fx120 doesn't? Nothing. So why risk it, go with the known quantity.

Fuck, never thought of it that way before. Pretty good point actually.
Great point. Not the reason I got one, but this is a great reason. SO much you can do with the scale as well, there are DIY routes or full pre-built custom (i.e. area 419) routes. You can go expensive or less expensive depending on what you want it to do.You should buy the fx120 on principal. How easy is the autothrow to set up?. I’m going to have to buy them separate .. but the autothrow and trickler won’t come too far afterBought the whole setup with Auto throw and trickler. And yes it does weigh to ONE KERNEL of Varget and H4350. Well worth the price and a very good track record.
OFG
I personally don't have the autothrower, I went the DIY method. See ammolytics' post here: https://blog.ammolytics.com/2019-04-30/diy-smart-trickler.htmlHow easy is the autothrow to set up?. I’m going to have to buy them separate .. but the autothrow and trickler won’t come too far after
In all honesty for 60$ I think the risk is worth the reward if done right ..Keep in mind, though, I love to tinker so that may not be the method for everyone.
If this old man can set it up anyone can. Very good instructions included. How easy is the autothrow to set up?. I’m going to have to buy them separate .. but the autothrow and trickler won’t come too far after
