Just curious what everyone spent on this Valentine's Day weekend. I spent exactly $5.25 for a card and I'm still sleeping in my own bed tonight. I know others who spent BIG money. What about you???

Bought lower parts kits for my daughters.
$127.27. Best 35 seconds in awhile.
Around 40$ spent on card, chocolate, and roses.......But the Enthusiastic sex from her in return was Epic!
Sent my next store neighbors wife a dozen roses and got head in the shed.
I didn't spend a single $ this year. My lady surprised me with a Cirque de Soleil show that was going in at Dodger stadium and she even paid for dinner!
Not a lot of people in the audience. Hope she didn't pay for good seats...… 8^D

49 bucks for “date night” at the indoor range. Ran some scenarios on the simulator then about 90 minutes on the ‘private’ lanes. Went home and did some gun cleaning after. She had a really good time at the range and I enjoyed seeing a woman clean a 229 in a thong. A win/win I would say.
Yup. But saved a good bit of coin. Only spent 8 bucks. Lol.

We both had to work that night and the night before and after so no real play time yet.

I went big this year. Something like 140. Made her cry with the card I wrote. I normally skip the shit, but this one went great. It was almost like we were 19 again, lol.
I was about to say $0, but then I remembered I took her to the hockey game, so...$22.
$13 for a dozen roses for her (which she found on the kitchen table while I slept off my midnight shift) and she got me a cupcake from a local bakery ($5 maybe? Sounds expensive, but they’re excellent, gigantic cupcakes ?).

Got about $70 and about 8 hrs labor in a coffee bar (small table with shelves under it) that she wanted me to build. Plus another 30 or so for my 4 daughters in candy and stuffed animals.

Round it up to $25 for a dinner. We don't do the cards or flowers anymore. I randomly, usually 2 or 3 times a year, bring flowers to her work
0.00. Wife and I agree that valentines day is nothing more than a fabricated corporate sponsored holiday.
Nothing....made some tbones for the wife and kids. We dont eat a ton of chocolate or any of that crap. More fun enjoying time with each other during the day.
I broke the trend here and spent about 300 on a piece of jewelry for the wife. I get credit for both her b-day and valentines day as they fall very close together....and last weekend she took me to the Great American Outdoor show in Harrisburg for the weekend..

My honey had a lunch date so that was out, going out here on Valentines night is futile, so bought a huge chink of tenderloin and cooked dinner 2 nights in a row with it. Beef and noodles night #2.

We normally just buy what we want, when we want it, rather than buying each other something and hoping the other person likes it for a birthday or a holiday. She buys gifts for her family at Christmas and it involves exchanging gift cards or useless fucking gifts. Never understood the point in giving a $50 gift card to get a $50 gift card in return ?

Getting doted on is nice. Some ladies like the flowers and a gentle “I care” thrown their way.

I also like nice dinners out. A few nice restaurants do a neat Vday menu in Denver. With wine pairings and stuff, which I like.

Got home after a long ass day at work. No plan for the valentines. New girlfriend. She surprised me with a filet, potatoes and salad. Made chocolates from scratch. Red wine. Action packed night. I’m still in awe. Feel like a dam king.
New girlfriend? That explains it. Wait 5 years and you'll get a hamburger and a Reese's Cup, wait 25 years and she'll have left you with something in the frig. Enjoy it while you can......
Dinner with friends, (mine was the only bride with a corsage), dancing to live music, a lovely evening later. We’ve been together 48 years, and still hold hands.
