Just curious what everyone spent on this Valentine's Day weekend. I spent exactly $5.25 for a card and I'm still sleeping in my own bed tonight. I know others who spent BIG money. What about you???

I didn't spend a single $ this year. My lady surprised me with a Cirque de Soleil show that was going in at Dodger stadium and she even paid for dinner!

maybe $50 between me and my wife, but in that bought something we needed anyway
    another $50 for the kids

Some people go nuts with trips and super expensive dinners just so their social media pictures make them look like rock stars lol

$13 for a dozen roses for her (which she found on the kitchen table while I slept off my midnight shift) and she got me a cupcake from a local bakery ($5 maybe? Sounds expensive, but they’re excellent, gigantic cupcakes ?).

None of anyone else’s business what happened after that.

$2 card and $6.99 for flowers. She was happy. If I spent more, she would have told me I spent too much and she would have meant it.

Got about $70 and about 8 hrs labor in a coffee bar (small table with shelves under it) that she wanted me to build. Plus another 30 or so for my 4 daughters in candy and stuffed animals.
Could say another 50 in the whiskey I drank while building the table.. .

I broke the trend here and spent about 300 on a piece of jewelry for the wife. I get credit for both her b-day and valentines day as they fall very close together....and last weekend she took me to the Great American Outdoor show in Harrisburg for the weekend..

$0 for Valentines. My wife says Valentine's is for people who are dating and not married. I did take her to dinner on Saturday night though, $40.

My brother on the other hand, took his wife to Vegas for the week... $$$

My honey had a lunch date so that was out, going out here on Valentines night is futile, so bought a huge chink of tenderloin and cooked dinner 2 nights in a row with it. Beef and noodles night #2.
No gifts, that is impossible between the 2 of us today. BUT, I did manage to snag a Henry Big Boy Steel in 357 mag off gunbroker Friday afternoon, I do love myself.

$3.63 a second , if you would calm down and take it slower you might get it down to a buck a second.

But why, if it's his gift, he can use it the way he sees fit. Kinda like sipping on some whiskey or just downing half a bottle. Now if it's a mutual gift for both him and his wife, then that's a completely different thread that should be started. Imagine what that thread would be like???????

Witnesses sure get to save a lot of money on gifts and parties.

We normally just buy what we want, when we want it, rather than buying each other something and hoping the other person likes it for a birthday or a holiday. She buys gifts for her family at Christmas and it involves exchanging gift cards or useless fucking gifts. Never understood the point in giving a $50 gift card to get a $50 gift card in return ?‍♂️

My wife made me a very nice card and bought me a box of chocolates. I got her an arbor press for her leather work she does?, about 63.00 I think.

Some inexpensive flowers. Couple chocolate bars.

I was being sweet and nice. Which is easy when a lady likes it and is appreciative.
Getting doted on is nice. Some ladies like the flowers and a gentle “I care” thrown their way.

I do it a few other random times a year to.
I also like nice dinners out. A few nice restaurants do a neat Vday menu in Denver. With wine pairings and stuff, which I like.

Got home after a long ass day at work. No plan for the valentines. New girlfriend. She surprised me with a filet, potatoes and salad. Made chocolates from scratch. Red wine. Action packed night. I’m still in awe. Feel like a dam king.

New girlfriend? That explains it. Wait 5 years and you'll get a hamburger and a Reese's Cup, wait 25 years and she'll have left you with something in the frig. Enjoy it while you can......
