Create a channel Learn moreSeconded. Heck, I'd probably take a barreled action for close to that price. Although, I wonder if Remington can still build them.Don’t hold your breath. Those banners have been there since they sold out years ago.
I’d buy one today if they came back in stock for $2500 though.
Found a detail I hadn't noticed before. The lockring has 2 different mating profiles on each side. One perfectly flat, the other is beveled. Not sure which side is supposed to contact the front sight baseAlso, a neat detail noticed by @lockedandloaded about the M24 flash hiders: there is a lip machined into the inside of them so when attached, the flash hider seats against the muzzle of the barrel at that lip, and so does not push on the front sight block.

They were seen as late late replacement pieces (at least with a few units)Can anyone tell me if these are the Bob Allen soft cases that were supplied for the M24
Yes. That's a middle era case. Canvas stitch downs and black padded interiorWhat about this one please
Who makes that sandbag and what style is it called

Picked up an interesting barreled M24 action and I’m trying to figure out what it is. G prefix serial, rechambered in 300 WM. Bolt matches receiver and the bolt face is opened up. 20” barrel has been turned down to 0.775” about 2.71” from the muzzle.
I know the XM2010’s were built off of M24 actions, and some M24’s used Ops Inc. and AAC suppressors, but the barrel appears to be profiled for a Surefire FA762-SS suppressor mount.
I don't think it’s aftermarket since the barrel has Remington proof marks and the paint on the turned down section of the barrel matches the rest of it.
Any clue what this is? I plan on doing a FOIA request to see where its been.
There it is, thank you!Hrrrmm.....
There were some 300WM 24s. Both "unofficial" and some T&E pieces.
Yours looks an awful lot like it was one of these. Barrel length and muzzle device look right

There's a Bolt on eBay today as well.Looking for a m24 bolt if anyone has a lead.
This pic right here just sums up a scout platoon...
I’ve only seen the L&S Ultra 10X M3A and subsequent Mk4 10X M3 used on the standard issued M24 SWS, but have seen the Mk4 3.5-10X on later enhanced/improved/upgraded/whatever-you-wanna-call-it M24s with newer hardware, such as this one used by “The Reaper”I extensively read the build list on the first page. Didn't scan all 36 pages for a possible answer to my question.
I have an M24 on order from GA Precision.
My understanding is the OG scopes are fixed 10x. I'm thinking about the Leupold Mk4 3.5-10x40 LR/T, 60025 (TMR) or 52128 (leaning more to this one for the mil dot reticle).
Anyone got inputs/suggestions/objections?! Thanks.
How, pray tell, can you determine that?“Ackchyually” the photo you just posted is one of those rare (3 total made I think?) 4.5-14x40 mk4s
Someone zoomed in on that photo and you can see 14x on the eye piece.
Thank you.Determine the number made or that one is one of them?
Zooming in on the photo you can faintly see the intermediate numbers on the mag ring match the other 4.5-14 models.
For number made, it was discussed on arfcom once upon a time. I’ll see if I can dig it up
Bumping the above post by Blackfoot 7 for the intended “future reference”.I suspect that as well, but not sure why they'd allow the use of custom optics for a military sniper competition and not unit issued optics. I never participated in a sniper comp, so I don't know the rules.
*pic for future reference
