I wonder how effective it would be in this situation if a bystander took a small mirror or their smartphone and used it to distract the would be tango with reflected sunlight in his face. But then again he wasn't just aiming for Trump. SOB was trying to spray as many rounds as possible into the whole stage area Mumbai style. He got up to 8 shots off before he received a .300 Win Mag cranial enema. The sunlight would probably help mark him out for the SS and SWAT snipers trying to get a bearing of where he is at...

I'm not seeing that as an easy shot at all.

Assuming he didn't have stabilizing gear, this dummy crawls out on a hot tin roof in short sleeves. A 30 round mag would be appropriate. We used to shoot off a rooftop prop like that at comps, it sucks. Very unstable. Dumb kid took as good a shot as he could manage, then was probably throwing rounds as best he could before the end.

It’s an easy shot but I agree. The stress and adrenaline must have been massive in that situation and I for one am thankful he was not either more skilled or more calm in that situation. So sorry for the individual who did lose their life today. That gets overlooked even by me who is just super angry right now that this could happen.

have changed my mind. yea,who cares. i no longer think this was an FBI/CIA job. just a prog whackado retarded and enraged like the MSM post prev says. deep state could find,provide,pay and support a very skilled long range shooter from almost any continent. easy to provide the right equipment and area to practice with same. the SS demonstrated incompetence could provide access to longer range and better location. might be a small problem as any high end hitter gotta know that if he is successful surviving to get paid is iffy. this doesn't mean a more competent repeat will not be attempted.

Yeah, the only thing that makes sense to me is that the shot was probably rushed. But still, anybody who would be attempting this would more than likely be trained. Proper caliber, at proper distance and body shot. Anyone who is trained, knows how to get past a cold bore shot. Anyone who is trained knows how to overcome stress. Anyone who is trained, has a corrected second shot.

As I mentioned, none of this makes sense and only came here to see what practiced long range shooters thought. I practice with marine sniper trained guys, who learned a lot more on their own, after their training and tours, and I know they could have managed that situation after completing phase 3 of the basic scout course.

I’m not convinced that he missed. If you watch the video, Trump turns his head right before the first shot, and it gets him in the ear. It appears that if he had not suddenly turned his head, it would’ve been a killshot.

Perhaps it was luck or divine intervention that won the day and not just bad accuracy…..

I scan an area about that big with security cameras.
Sitting at the computer (27") and security monitor (30").
Mouse, Mouse, 1911.
IP cameras on magnets to the water tower.
I can sort of see the "no fly" issue with drones, but local PD can catch you running a red light with cameras.

If the shot was fired through foliage then that could absolutely throw off trajectory. Body shot unlikely as Trump most probably vested up.

If some 'offended' lefty came this close to Assassinating a presidential candidate it makes the security failures (yes there were a series of failures not just one thing was wrong or missed) incomprehensible. Heads should and will roll.

Any piece of shit celebrating this by social media statements absolutely deserves to have their door kicked in by authorities but we all know that won't happen.

A lot of guys also see this shot from a 20 lbs rifle perspective.
How many times do trained shooters mess up a drill when they are cold and not warmed up? A lot of us do.
Was his rifle properly zeroed?
If not how far was his dope off?
So many guys crumble under the stress of a pro timer let alone shooting at a president.
It’s total luck he even hit Trump.
He was just spraying

Or, you hire someone just like that to draw attention away from yourself. Regardless, the fact that that rooftop wasn’t cleared or better yet, had his own protection detail posted at the top of it is very telling to me. it doesn’t take any tactical voodoo genius to know that could be a major major problem area for an event like this and yet you want me to believe some of the supposed best in the world didn’t see this area as a problem? I’m ain’t buying it. We know who it was. We knew it was going to happen. And the fact people told the police and SS that here was a dude with a long gun climbing to a rooftop and crawling his way to the edge before the shots go off is also very telling. I don’t know that this is as random as it may appear but good luck proving it. Don’t worry tho, the best and brightest are on it. With all that said, the world has a lot of evil people so maybe it is just some random. Certainly doesn’t appear that way tho. People also seem to forget that they have been trying to remove his detail for months now.

The Chans are doxxing a large number of gum flappers on Twitter and Instagram right now and they have been going hard at it since the afternoon. Giving their employers, families all their info. Some might get fired. Some might even get investigated by local, patriotic sheriffs and DAs if what they posted warranted scrutiny. TAKE SCREENSHOTS if you see anything. I *think* the cops are using Remmy 2010 bolt guns....but could be wrong as it isn't that good of a pic to decipher what...well....kind of gun it is.

There is no way that's a real bullet trail.
1 - A camera would never be able to capture that bullet in flight unless a specific type of high speed lense.....and who would be using a 200k$ camera there ?
2 - The bullet path is wrong, the shooter was on top of a building so the angle would be sloping down.

I think someone just photoshopped a planes contrail into the image to maybe make a few bucks or get him some "creds" to his name.

I have a "hobbyist" camera that can snap 1/8000 sec exposure times if the ISO and light are right. Looks legit from here, for whatever that's worth.

SS uses the MK13, on a AI chassis. Lots of people get confused because on the back of the officers it says Police, but that is straight up SS. Plus I don't think there are too many local departments running MK13s.

Photo was taken from ground looking up at stage. Could have also been one of the other rounds. Hell one hit a hydraulic hose on one of the forklifts causing the boom to retract.

ANTIFA has always been a purely terroristic entity from it's conception. It was founded in Germany during the chaotic interwar period of the 1920s and their members wreaked havoc, destroyed property, robbed and beat people, and started fires all over Germany on behalf of the German Communist Party of the time. They did absolutely nothing to resist against the Third Reich and many of it's members actually went on to become enforcers for the NSDAP.
