He was rushed. Saw a video of bystanders yelling, “he’s got a gun!” moments before the first shot. He knew he’d been made and likely rushed the shot. Add to that he probably wasn’t well trained and likely drugged up and you get a miss. I also think he may have hit a teleprompter or something else between him and DJT.

I wonder how effective it would be in this situation if a bystander took a small mirror or their smartphone and used it to distract the would be tango with reflected sunlight in his face. But then again he wasn't just aiming for Trump. SOB was trying to spray as many rounds as possible into the whole stage area Mumbai style. He got up to 8 shots off before he received a .300 Win Mag cranial enema. The sunlight would probably help mark him out for the SS and SWAT snipers trying to get a bearing of where he is at...

Assuming he didn't have stabilizing gear, this dummy crawls out on a hot tin roof in short sleeves. A 30 round mag would be appropriate. We used to shoot off a rooftop prop like that at comps, it sucks. Very unstable. It’s an easy shot but I agree. The stress and adrenaline must have been massive in that situation and I for one am thankful he was not either more skilled or more calm in that situation. Secret service not seeing the shooter, when people from the crowd have said they saw the shooter, some time before the shooting. Anybody willing to put themself in a position as a shooter, should be able to make that shot off hand.

I’m not convinced that he missed. If you watch the video, Trump turns his head right before the first shot, and it gets him in the ear. It appears that if he had not suddenly turned his head, it would’ve been a killshot.

Perhaps it was luck or divine intervention that won the day and not just bad accuracy…..

1 - A camera would never be able to capture that bullet in flight unless a specific type of high speed lense.....and who would be using a 200k$ camera there ?
2 - The bullet path is wrong, the shooter was on top of a building so the angle would be sloping down.

I think someone just photoshopped a planes contrail into the image to maybe make a few bucks or get him some "creds" to his name.

SS uses the MK13, on a AI chassis. Lots of people get confused because on the back of the officers it says Police, but that is straight up SS. Plus I don't think there are too many local departments running MK13s.
