Suppressors Form 4 wait time

Be sure to buy a

T.REX RagnarokSD Holster for your pistol with can. Love mine

T.REX RagnarokSD? That’s a new one to me, I’ll have to look it up.

Edit: Ok I just watched T.REX’s video on that holster. That’s cool. That is really damn cool. And it’s only $80? Yeah I’ll be getting one of those for sure. Thanks for the suggestion!

After I put the light on it, I wanted a Level II, so I got a Dara for it and mounted it to a Safariland leg drop mount. Before the light, I ordered an IWB/OWB TacRig which I really, really like. Then if I ever want to carry it IWB, I just have to remove the sight.

I just did one last week. took the dealer 3 days for the "compliance" check stuff...then we efiled the form 4 on Friday about 3pm. I got the email from the ATF Tuesday morning around 830 that it was approved. My other 2 took about a 7 business days each. This one was just 2 days.

Bought a B&T 762 Rotex with the Surefire adapter on 7/9, waited a month for my LGS to have their license renewed (I don't think they are?!) so I had it shipped to the next town over in the middle of Aug, but didn't get over there until the 31st to set up my trust on the kiosk. I brought it home yesterday. I assumed the trust was gonna be a 4-6 month wait, so I kinda lollygagged or it could have been much quicker!
Stuck it on an AR-15 because it was beside my bed already wearing a Warcomp.

I thought all trustees had to go in and have a pic & prints on file, he said no more, just fill out a silencer shop form and done! Now that my account is active I'm pretty sure an SBR is next!

Sorry if this has been discussed and I missed it, but WTF happened here? My first cans took about 1-year each to be approved. My latest one took 2-days. That's significant.

Was AFT being malicious with these approvals before? 🤔

Huxwrx Ventum 762 to be used on a Galil 7.62x39, then on a BRN180 300BLK. First suppressor!

eForm 4 with Trust via Capitol Armory:

Purchased: 04/10/2024
Certified and submitted: 04/23/2024
Approved: 09/24/2024

woke up to the approval email came out at 4 am AZ time!!

E-Forms submitted 6/26.
E-forms approved 9/24.
How long is it between e-form approval and silencer shop telling me to pick it up?
You should get an email with the approved eForm. Make sure you print out a couple of copies; one to bring with you when you pick up the can and one to put into your Suppressor notebook (to ensure you have all the forms in one place).

Simply put, they're actually doing their jobs now!

Simplier put... Congress gave ATF a boat load of money to implement the 90 day approval thang. They did not and Congress said "Get your shit together or we are taking the funding back!". There is no niceness, concern for applicants, doing their job, etc. about it.

It looks like the approvals are still all over the place, with no reason to any of it. Multiple people are getting them approved in days, some in weeks, and some are still taking months.

My latest, filed as an individual via eForms:
#1 Certified June 19 - Approved July 18
#2 Certified Aug 6 - Approved Sept 10

So my average has been around 30 days, which according to ATF stats is slightly better than the current average of 41 days for a Form 4. https://www.atf.gov/resource-center/current-processing-times

I had heard from numerous people that if your approval had reached 30 days, that if you call and inquire about the status, that it would be approved within 24-48 hours of the call. Ironically, my last one had gone over 30 days, so I called, and it was approved the next day!

I still don't understand why some people can get an approval in 48-72 hours, but it is still taking others over a month to get an approval. I especially say that because in my case, my second approval took over 30 days, even though I had just gotten an approval in the month before. Leave it to the worthless Fed Govt!

i am becoming less optimistic by the day that the two eform single shot trusts that were certified back in april will be approved before elk season

called. both 'pending' so we'll see if anything happens in the next week and a half

I feel ya, man! Got a Scythe Ti in 3 days and an Omega 9k in 2 days. Now I have a Spectre-9 that is at 25 days and a B&T SD can for an APC9SD at 5 days and I'm like "WHAT THE FUCK?!?" Perception of time sucks! I think my luck ran out -or- I pissed off my personally assigned agent.

I'm really just making a joke of crying in my beer. I'm really not in a big hurry, as both of them are just different versions of things I already have covered. They aren't holding me up from anything.

All of mine before were 8-11 months, so if I hit the 30 day average mentioned above it will still be awesome, and anything less than that would be "awesome-er". I just knew when I was reading the stories about 1-2 days, "Yeah, that won't be me," and I was right. :ROFLMAO:
