So as a poors I am very interested in this scope. I watched mullets video and the only thing I was not sure of is his triggercam view on long range shots was lets say not sharp. And by that I mean they look nothing like @wooferocau phone pics. So there has to be a difference in Aussie glass vs. U.S. glass which got me interested in the DNT so I went to their website and under shipping it says only certain brands. So I emailed them if they would ship the DNT to the U.S. , they just replied with a big no.

Do you wanna ask him yourself? he's on here...

Just my roll of the dice. Got my Arken 7x35, from CameraLand last week, now I’m wondering about the DNT! Can only make a visual opinion, but it looks a touch better , finish wise, from my EP 5x25. Optical checkout will have to wait due to health issues.

With the $600 price and 7-35 magnification range they're going to sell a bunch of these scopes if they're halfway decent.

No, they're not a Nightforce ATACR, but the similar feature set for $600 will be hard to resist for those that can't or won't spend ATACR money on an optic. Shooting is a hobby for most of us and cost is always a factor.

Apologies if it’s been posted, he likes his Ark ‘Can just fine.

Are you fucking kidding me? You’re posting this wanker’s video here?

Have you read this thread?

I mean, everyone starts somewhere, so there’s that. I started with the Tiborasaurus Rex fool. You gotta grow out of the swine that is Windex before you believe every word he says.

TiboRex 🤣🤣🤣
If you ever watch uneducated people try to sound educated in court…this is what he sounds like.

Funny you post that but I had bought an EP8 for $299 from Doug at Cameraland back in July and I was pretty surprised when I got it mounted up on my Seekins and took it to the range. Got it zeroed at 50 and then shot steel out to 550 yards with the reticle and it worked great. The glass was very good for a $299 scope. I liked it so much I just ordered another from Doug the other day.

Yup. I bought one from Doug too. Very pleased with it. That said, after watching the video in its entirety, my next LPVO is going to be the Credo HX 1-10.

Yeah I didn't watch it in it's entirety as I do not need an expensive LVPO as they get used rarely for me. I had a G2 and G3 but not needed for me. I will stick with the EP8 on a couple ARs.

FFP? How is reticle / illumination at 1x?

Yup FFP. Reticle is different at 1x than others as it has a larger outer circle that comes into use and not just the center reticle but then when you dial up it disappears to the outer edges. For quicker 1x close shots it works well and then dialing up you have the holds for the longer shots. Below are a couple pics.

Got mine today for A$1099.
The turret is actually a bit better than my EP5’s (no ‘backlash’, very tactile; both are much better than my Burris).
The zero stop set screw is not as tight as others described. I just used the No2 bit and had no issue

A little surprise that it actually has full reticle illumination! (Though I never use that)

Going to the range next Sunday to check how it performs. So far so good

I think people stripping the screws aren't using the proper No.2 allen bits. I also think they're using the cheap shit allen wrenches that come in the boxes with these scopes, that are almost ALWAYS slightly undersized and will strip screws. I've never had any issues with any scopes stripping the turret screws and I tighten them pretty good (mine never come loose or slip either). I think more people need to invest in a micro screwdriver set.

The ONLY times I use the included wrenches with a scope, is if it's a high-end scope like NF or Zeiss, or one that has specialty tools like Vortex.

I was under the impression that at least with Arken’s SH4J that Japanese as opposed to Chinese glass was used in the scope(?). Is Japanese glass superior to Chinese?
Yes and no... Yes, typically it's higher quality than Chinese, however, there ARE different levels of each. Some Japanese might be lower quality than some Chinese. But usually the tiers are skewed, where most upper-end Chinese is closer to the lower-end Japanese glass, then the Japanese glass gets superior from there.

Coatings can make a big difference and are often proprietary I believe. Also terms like Double HD, X-ED (DNT description on the box but not website), etc. No standard for this nomenclature.

He might, and he might be a really cool guy, and very knowledgeable… But you have to understand that growing up poor in the South in the 80’s and 90’s, is why I can’t take anyone with a mullet serious. You’d just have had to been there. They were typically the uneducated, the trash, the alcoholics, the wife beaters, the true scumbags of society.

I know that it’s all the rage with the GenZ kids, but nobody ever really accused them of being the smartest generation either…They can’t even figure out what gender they are from all the brainwashing they’ve endured, and they believe anything anyone tells them on the basis of “Trust me bro…”, without fact checking, despite having a laptop in their pockets. Their whole life has been an unfortunate rerun, and they don’t even know it.
i can't agree with this post more.
i think so little of people with mullets due to my past experiences with people with mullets.
I'm sure whatever dude you're talking about is cool as hell though.
i wonder if the dmt 7-35 glass is better than my vortex 5-25 venom.
it's very usable for a cheapo scope.

Yes, it will be better than the Venom by a long shot. My Strike Eagle 5-25 was decent for a budget scope, and better than my EP5 5-25, and the DNT blows them both away. For under $1K, it will be damn hard to beat.

Got out today with the DNT and Arken to do a side by side. The glass in the DNT is better as in clearer and crisper image even in some mirage compared to the Arken in my one of each comparison. The Arken is not bad though for it's price range and actually better than my Bushnell Match Pro ED. I had a buddy of mine that was there take a look through both and compare them for his eyes and he agreed that the DNT did have better glass. Ergonomically they are basically the same scope. Both reticles will work for holds. I like the DNT has more illumination though.

I did also take the DNT to 1000 yards today on my 6mm ARC AR and it was hitting and I hit too smaller targets at 900 yards also. Mirage had gotten really bad though by the time we got to the 1000 yard range it was tough to see hits. Only shot the Arken out to the 550 yard range.

All in all both are good deals at $599 for what you get.
