They should. We're not "fighting fire with fire." We need to be. And we need to prepare ourselves to take those risks and respond accordingly.
The "miscreants" know precisely how far they can push us without "crossing the line" and involving an official (and righteous) "deadly force" response. They know that. And, trust me, they "red line" it to the max! We have to be ready to repel them with our own fire. Yeah, I know we often feel like we don't want to "sink to their level." But, sometimes, you must do what you must do, as a matter of self defense. And if they want to red line it all the way just up to and right before that "deadly force" response, then we meet/oppose them with that same level of force.... again, not necessarily deadly force, but the same level of force to stop them from doing what they're doing. Now, if they want to cross the line into deadly force territory, I'm sure we can respond accordingly. But we need some other non-deadly alternatives to stop them (Tasers, pepper spray, rubber/bean bag projectiles, electric geo-fencing of signs, water cannons, whatever). Yes, it might escalate things, but that's the point. They need to know they won't be getting away with the $hit they're trying.
And the biggest/best tool we can use? The video recorder. If we capture what they are attempting, they can't claim we were trying to "assault" them unfairly.

Sadly, most of these probably aren't even individuals, but foreign troll farms. The purpose is to simply increase the level of social discontent. This Speedbump isn't really a honest member, just a Iranian or Chinese troll. Play with them as you will, but please take nothing seriously and do your best to feel not a moment of ire. Then they lose.
