JD Vance Murders Walz live debate

Vance is going to be president one day
Yeah, that's the idea. IF we are really going to make any progress with turning this nation around or at least keeping it on life support, we have to have someone who can carry the football after Trump. You ain't lifting this load in 4 years

I watched the first half and Mr. Vance was doing good work. I will also say that the moderators letting Walz ramble around like an idiot and dodge the first question they asked him (the preemptive strike question about Israel) without comment was a pretty good indicator that CBS also wasn't interested in a fair debate either.

I’m hearing that Vance beat Waltz worse than Ike beat Tina. That true?
Yes. He's disciplined and he's really good. He set out to appeal to women, this is why he didn't hit Tim harder at times. He knew what he wanted to do tonight, and he did exactly that. Master class

Nice reminder of what civil debates used to look like. Vance won as the better debater.

He SHUT DOWN those rude ass "moderators" who broke their own rules trying to challenge him. Vance showed the whole world how you deal with entitled assholes and narcissist creeps. You tell them "NO MEANS NO. END OF DISCUSSION. THE WORLD DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND YOUR EGOS".

That was awesome to watch. Trump may be the ornate handle and tang securing bolts on this Bowie knife, but Vance is the blade.

Politics of fucking JOY.....WTF OVER?

Of course. We’ve been saying for years people who vote democrat vote based on feelings and emotions minus any and all facts. Well, here they are admitting it and pandering to their ridiculously weak minded base. To the rest of us clear minded well grounded people, saying you are the party of joy means you are the party basing your politics on absolutely nothing other than an emotion, which can change at any moment; forget basing it on real ideas or solutions to real problems, because they don’t have a clue when it comes to that. I wonder what kind of “joy” or what new emotion they will have should they win and China invades Taiwan and or Russia gets tired of the proxy war with us and opens canned sunshine in the Ukraine? What emotion will drive their response then? 🤮

They are basically admitting they have no business running this country and actually belong in an mental institution.

    • Joy is present-focused: Joy is a direct emotional response to an event in the present moment.

After watching JD give a masterclass during that debate, I really wish we'd given serious consideration to a younger candidate during the GOP primaries. This regret was further reinforced by whatever it was that Trump vomited up in response to the Iranian missile attack.

Can't say as I watched the whole thing, since I did not.
What I did see of it though was that daddy (JD Vance) came home and spanked the weird little boy and then when the girls acted up out of line.....well, they got a spankin too.

Fucking Walz is one strange ass creep mofo.

McCain eh....🤣🤣🤣 This is starting to reminds me of the last mudsucker VP the Rinos snuck in. I bet there is a thread from 2016 that mirrors this one almost exactly.

I know that there must have been a 2016 VP debate between Kaine and Pence, but for the life of me I can't recall a single detail of the event or any discussion afterwards.

If we're attempting to criticize people for past positions, I'm much more concerned about the vast number of Republicans who voted to nominate McCain in '08 and Romney in '12 when Ron Paul was an option in the primaries.

I'm not a JD fan (his ties to Peter Thiel make him a likely CIA/MIC plant) and would have preferred Vivek, but he did just fine last night and dramatically outperformed his prospective boss.

Using that metaphor and then immediately calling out sometime else as a "strange ass creep" is remarkable in its complete and total lack of self-awareness, even by Pit standards.

Well. It wasn't the debate I was talking about. It was the gushing over what a great president Pence would be after Trump. Shades of peoples short love affair with likes of McCain and Romney. Some other well known Never Trump guys.

Whaaat?!?! “I think Tim didn’t respond because he had too much stuff in his head he wanted to say”!?!? Gee here I’ve been all my life thinking that when a person gets owned, like tampon Tim did last night, and they shut down and fail to respond it’s because their head is empty and they can’t think of anything to counter with, but apparently it’s the opposite, they have so much in their head to counter with and are so “over prepared” that they don’t respond. Who knew!!! 🙄

The "moderators" talked over Vance. "Fact Checked" him, which was not a factual error but a punctuation change. Cut his mic. Ran an ad over him. Refused to fact check Moron, I mean, Walz.

This might have been a debate between the two but for CBS, it was supposed to be a clear victory for Walz. Fortunately, Walz was able to handily seize loss from the plate of victory clearly handed to him by actors reading lines and calling themselves "moderators."

I just looked it up in the dictionary. CBS moderator = a photo of paper bag full of feces.

Thanks for the clarification, and agreed - the fawning over Pence was unearned. Heck, even after the man did nothing for four years (other than heading the White House response to Covid), a bunch of people still thought that he was going to be a white knight.

The good news is that the uniparty neocons have mostly flocked over to the other side for the time being.

jd had a great point in the interviews after the debate...
walz had an impossible task...trying to defend the results of the disastrous xiden/harris administration policies.
