Why not install an LED :)
They do, the memes also bullshit.

“As of October 2024, the average hourly pay for a tower maintenance worker in the United States is $31.57. The majority of tower maintenance wages range from $23.08 to $38.22, with the top earners making up to $56.25 per hour.”

Because it would randomly fail to work.
On other days it would flash on and off.
Most days, it would work but the color and tone would change.

Then, when he climbed up to replace it. The new bulb would fail within 36 hours.

Or not
They prefer LED because it’s not a total failure usually it’s individual parts of an array that fail. It’s not one huge led diode

Edit, just read about it

I know. I just like bagging on the 30-50,000 hour life of LED bulbs. Haven't seen it yet.
We have gone to LED's on our towers. Beats climbing up there to replace a big light bulb. The only failure we've had so far has been a circuit board at 100', but we only have one tower with that make. The rest are Drakes, and they're pretty much trouble free, so far.
