I don't know if it was a "Bonanza" or not, Yamaha, definitely 180cc, a two stroke. I remember buying it used for $157 I earned bussing tables at my uncles restaurant. Had to throw in the extra $7 for a new battery.

Mom didn't like it one bit.

2-stroke twin, Looks like a 1967 or maybe 1968 Yamaha ? maybe 200cc or 350cc . Could be a CS or YM or YD ? cant remember there were a few different models . It not a RD but it was predecessor to the Yamaha RD's 2-stroke twins in the 70's . We used to build those little 350 RD twins over, bored out and pistons, they ran like a Raped Ape on the street.

Definitely a 180 Bonanza, I had a red one, 1967. I had 16 motorcycles bought and sold by my sr year in HS…

1990 XRV 750 Africa Twin. Took a cruise from Seattle to central IL. 3165 miles. Not a bad shakedown ride.

Took my AT from eastern WA lo Las Vegas with friends on Harleys.

They laughed until I left them in the dust on all the straightaways and their tough guy bikes (both bikes) broke and one had parts fall off.

Given the tremendous outpouring of love that everyone has for HD lately I wanted to share these pics of the completed scooter.
Had the rims powder coated along with a few other pieces, new skins, a full inspection and we're back in business. Probably get the belt guard done also. I always thought this bike had waaayy too much chrome/silver on it so I tried to balance it out some and stay distinctive. Purchased NIB in October of 2003. 5668 original miles. Ride safe members!

It's corn around here..
Corn won’t even grow here. Yes, oil is big, but the oil fields are far away. The Alaska Pipeline is 800 miles long. We’re about in the middle. Here’s one of the rivers I mentioned that aren’t bridged. You have to go back to the last access road, ride out to the highway to cross, then find the next access road to get back to the pipeline.

Harley’s are cool and have tons of torque, but an inline 4 with a full system on the pipe is just plain ass bitchen !

And yea it has about 7,500 to go before its first valve adjustment, lol.
Not bad for a 2002, had 4000 on the clock when I bought it bone stock with the original Bridgestones on it.

I had one of the 2003 Kenny Roberts Special Edition FZ1 Gen1s for a long while. Probably my favorite bike to date, tons of torque, super maneuverable, and just an absolute blast to ride. It sat for a few years due to a variety of things and it never ran right after that despite being in two different shops for over 10 months. I was hoping to tear it back apart and fix what they couldn’t (I rebuilt the bike when I first got it), but we ended up moving to Indiana and it didn’t make the trip. Took a total wash on it, which still makes me cringe when I think about it. Helluva a fun bike though, I’d love to have another someday.

That’s a dam shame you could not get someone to do a carb overhaul.
When I bought mine same issue, sat to long and it was missing.
Out the carbs came and sent them to Ivan at Rocklen county motorcycle tuning in New York.
He ported the boots and did his MB carb upgrade and this thing has power everywhere. Air box mod and full system really wake it up.
Love your slip on, don’t see a lot of those around, pretty cool.

Still got the Conti ? Always wanted that bike too .
