Alaska has failed….this woman should have been out LONG ago!!!! Along with Susan Collins two fo the most disgusting GOP members there are. Neither should even have an “R” by their name.
I think this choice makes more sense from the viewpoint that Trump doesn't want somebody to just run the DoJ, I think he wants somebody that will be willing to burn down the DoJ and salt the earth if the career bureaucrats start playing games.
Lets say Gaetz is not confirmed, Ron D can have him take Marco Rubios senate seat. Winning
I wonder if Mr. DeSantis has his own eye on that Senate seat; isn't he being termed out shortly?
Gaetz will never be confirmed by the RINO senate. Only way he gets in is by recess appt.

For some reason this takes me back to October of last year Kevin McCarthy being ousted from speaker. Trump backed Kevin but I really dont think he meant it and along came Gaetz and did what Trump could not do so I think it could be pay back = AG....I mean lets be honest no one like Kevin and deep down I dont think Trump did either...just my thoughts. I like Gaetz and Mike Walts both from my state I just wish Scott would have been selected it the Senate.

It really should be easy to turn his vote if you guys know what I mean. There HAS got to be dirt on him...not Esptein level, but .....

My guess is that Gaetz will face bipartisan opposition, and probably not get confirmed. This is Trump's "unreasonable open" in order to get who he actually wants as AG.
The Injustice Department is every bit as compromised and weaponized by the left as the CIA and FBI. All of these criminal syndicates need to be burned to the ground with everyone in them and rebuilt from scratch. Gaetz is a uniquely qualified arsonist for that job, and an ideal pick in my fantasy politics team. That said, he probably won't get confirmed. If used as a recess apointment for even one year he could expose all the corrution and bring justice to the guilty parties in that time.
NPR had on a DC criminal defense attorney who was representing leftist deep staters in government and "preparing" for the Trump Administration, and he said openly on the air that he was advising many of his clients to get out of the country because it gave them more options in fighting all of the indictments they are expecting. It was really interesting to hear this sort of worst case scenario for the biggest criminals in government. It will be interesting to see how much evidence they are able to destroy between now and inauguration day.
The only reason she's still in the senate is because of Ranked Choice voting in the primaries, that and turtle mitch spent senate campaig funds to help drag her corpse over the line last time there was a republican challenger..
I think Scott is a wierdo and no likes him. We've had a bunch of those over the years. They have the right positions and the right ethos, but no one wants them around or wants to work with them because they are so socially awkward and dorkey.
I don't think Gaetz is Trumps real pick for AG. I think he put him up to draw fire away from his other picks. To give the Dems an irresistible target to focus most of their attention on. The GOP Senators will face voters ire when they inevitably reject him and will be forced to approve Trump's real pick quickly.

DeSantis will pick some one to fill Rubios seat and they will have a special election in 2026.
Ron plans to seek a Senate seat. Why not resign as Governor, with an understanding with his Lt. Governor, that once she is Governor, she picks Ron to fill Rubio's seat? Ron is hungry. POTUS did not work out this time around, so get into the Senate for a term or two and then run for POTUS again.
That sounds good but dont know if its legal I have not seen that before. Lots of folkes wanted Trump to pick Ron as a running mate after Ron dropped out but they cant come from the same state....there are so manny rules.
One thing is for sure - Gaetz is a great target to use to identify who is and isn't going to play ball with Trump. It's a very good test of fealty. Two years will be here before you know it, and who falls where will be noted by Trump when he hits the campaign trail.

Depending on a report written by corrupt people should not. May as well change the name on the Russiagate files and put Gaetz on it.
The expectation is that Rubio is going to be our next Secretary of State so he will have to resign from the Senate.
Recess appoint Gaetz over Christmas and then give him a gasoline tanker truck and a pack of matches and tell him to burn the whole fucking thing to the ground!
