I have the DMR in 6 arc with 22" barrel. I want to go shorter for suppressor use. Should I have the barrel cut down or go with a new barrel. I don't hear much on the quality of seekins barrels but this one seems to shoot factory ammo well.

My seekins barrels in my SP10 and 6 arc are as good as it gets. I’ll most likely chop my 6arc down to 18”. Not so much for the length but for the fact that a rifle length gas on a 22” barrel is stupid. Seekins per my email have no plans to change that. The gas port is .101” so the rifle should still function with the shorter length.

If it is in fact .101, would a 16" work? Doing some research, it looks like barrel mfgs are all over the place on gas port size in relationship to barrel length and gas system length.
