This is my LMT MARS-H. (and the boss)

20" 308 SS barrel
Vortex Viper PST gen II 5-25
JP captured buffer
Larue 2 stage MBT (now changed to SSAE-X)
Magpul PRS lite
surefire comp / blast diverter
Magpul Bipod (soon to be updated to MDT GRND-POD)
Driven arms co Grip (updated to their collab)

Changed to DAC grip with new right side thumb rest. I ended up having to remove the ambi safety because it was interfering with the thumb rest.

Added alcantera to cheek pad - I had some left over after a car project.

100concepts ARD and scope caps (yes I trimmed the paracord)

Recently I changed the trigger to a SSAE-X - but I've only shot it a few times since then and I'm not sure I'll keep it. The Larue MBT was pretty good as well. I might switch my American Gold into my MARS-H and put this in my run and gun. We will see.

This is my first big body AR build for myself and I'm just slowly dialing it in. I really enjoy shooting it.

I'm waiting on a 6.5 barrel to get delivered but I have plenty of 308 to shoot through before I start buying 6.5 CM.

So far I'm getting moa+ accuracy but that is def my fault. I'm only starting my PRS learning.

I'm here to learn from you all.

Nice rig. I’ve also got the G SSAEX in my LMT 308 and love it. It beaks super clean right at 2.9lbs.

Solid group man, but also really surprised/impressed that the SD & ES were that good.
This isn’t the first time honestly. The first 5 shots i had with the same ammo from AAC was similar. Granted i think it’s hot. I had a blown primer this outing and it’s just a ton of speed for a 17ish gasser. I’ve shot about 85rds of the first 100 i bought. Bringing another 100 home to hunt with it.

This was the first grouping with it.

Thanks boss. I had her out this morning and finally got a good chance to work with this new trigger. I still have to break her in a little bit but at least for now it feels like the break on the 2nd stage could be a little cleaner - but I'm splitting hairs. It feels excellent and I was able to put some good (okay) groups together.

I think I'll call her black Betty for now.

1"X1" @100 yards - still suffering flyers. Def my breathing.

2x2 @100 - warmup on the big square

Getting better every week.

Oh yeah she’ll shoot. You tried using a real good grease on all the contact/friction points yet on the G trigger?

Also, I’ve had several SSAEXs and some are just noticeably better than others. My best one I made sure to put in this LMT 308 and not my 556s LOL.

Damn that’s impressive man. I’ve normally only seen those kinds of numbers with FGMM/Federal LE and Berger ammo. I’m glad to know there’s another really good option out there, as I would’ve never even guessed that ammo would be that good.

With G triggers I generally put a small amount when I install them, run about 500 rounds through them, take em out and clean em up real good then grease the hell out of them.

I've built a ton of guns with the G super dynamic combat 2 stage, and that's how I got the best performance out of them. Started doing it for all my G triggers.

It might be all in my head but swear they break in better like that.

I know right? With hornady making the projectiles and it costing roughly $1.10/rd I’m sold. There is no reason for me to spend nearly double on fgmm. And i could load but the idea of loading for a gasser makes me nauseous. So right now it’ll be restricted to the bolt guns where i can reasonably keep up with brass. And don’t have to buy an ugly ass brass catcher.

There is another brand called bullets1st that makes 175gr OTM around the same price as aac. Supposed to be decent as well. I haven’t tried them though

I'm interested in what triggers people are running in their large frame LMT Mars-H.

I wanted to try a trigger tech diamond but G had a crazy black Friday deal on this SSAE-X so I grabbed it knowing I'd use it in something.

I run American gold flat faced triggers in my small frame AR's right now. They are great at what they do but I haven't tried them in an AR10 yet - I've heard ATC makes a specific AR10 version.

I’m running a Geissele High Speed NM trigger in my MARS-H.
I have a SSAE-X in a MARS-L. It’s close enough to the NM that going forward I will be using SSAE-X in any other guns.

I'm picking up my 6.5 cm barrel today, but I have a ton of 308 to shoot through.

Plus I have to paint the barrel and find a muzzle device.

What 6.5 cm rounds should I start ordering to get good accuracy out of the factory 20" 6.5 cm as barrel?

I mean its like in between an H2 & H3 so it just was the right combo with my seekins select adjustable gas block for 4"Oclock ejection with or without the can at either setting.
The SCS has a tuneable one where you can start with an h2/3 buffer weight and swap the springs around for the exact amount of spring you want.

It's also quiet as hell vs the cheese grater sound from the spring. I bet you would never notice it until it's not there.

FWIW i love the SCS and the way it feels. Just never had any intention of trying to spend that much for a buffer system.

That's seriously impressive for a gas gun
I honestly kinda feel like LMT doesn’t market themselves enough. I mean i get it. Big govt contracts pay well, they don’t need to at this point. But there is certainly a subset of enthusiast that would flock to that type of performance with that level of reliability. While i have a sample size of one and it’s my first LFG, i don’t see the need to really chase Geissele, Seekins, KAC, or Larue given my experience thus far especially for the money. I say all this as someone who is on the list for an MGL 110 but it’ll be in the vein of making a mock 110 on the MWS quad cause URX 7.62s are unobtainable.

A Seekins SP10 is what? $2700? I would think that's where the value is for $ : accuracy. And a person can build a pretty high end LFAR for $2500 - $3000 using JP BCGs, SCS's, premium receiver sets, Geisselle triggers, and custom cut rifled barrels. But still....1/2" 19 rd group? That dude has a freak. I don't know if any of the LFARs you mentioned that will do that in every gun they put out. I don't think any LMT owner in this thread has posted that performance before, besides this dude. I doubt it's the norm, even for LMT.
Oh without a doubt it’s unique. My point was i would use it if i were LMT personally speaking. I think pieced together my LM8 for right at 2700 granted it was all used other than the Lower, LPK, and stock. Even then i think you can snag a defender for $2500 less with sales. Idk how the chrome barrels shoot comparatively speaking since i went with 18” SS for mine.

I totally agree. I also watched the video. He found one of the space magic MRGG submission barrels. They had a 15000 round count sub MOA requirement with a 0.5MOA objective for a 14.5" 6.5CM. Tell me where to find that barrel!

This makes me super excited to put in my 6.5 cm barrel. Too bad I promised myself I'd shoot all my remaining 308 first.
The Lmt .308 shoots great too!

The MRGG-A 14.5 barrel has some new features going on for LMT that I hope they expand to other barrels someday.

I'd like to settle on one bullet for my 308's. I've got a custom 700 that I built and my MWS. Leaning towards the 169 sierra but I'd also like something that reliably expands to hunt with.

Dang, leave some tail for the rest of us! Nice build. :)
Thank you

She’s going to be a deer killer. So I’ll probably give hornady precision hunter in 178 ELDX a try in it.

I know 175 fgmm will shoot well. At least according to previous owner of the 18” SS barrel. But want something more hunting oriented for a bullet
