Suppressors New TBAC cans for 2024

Not to beat a dead horse here but I have a 338 ultra sr gen 1, im ordering a new magnus tomorrow. I want SR and RR for sure. Im between the S and K, my only hang up is the length of the RR/SR S being still relatively long and vs the how loud the K will be. I typically go for sound vs length and dont love shorter cans but i like the idea of shortness for matches etc. i mostly shoot 6.5/ 308/ 300 prc, could drop to a 6 this year also. What does the brain trust thing the sound signature would be on the K vs say like a sico omega?

The S will be very long for a match. The K is about the perfect size. Having shot both, I went with the K.

Mine took one day. Probably also depends how timely you sot responds
My dealer already provided TBAC with all their info long ago. I can see it showing on my invoice as such. My can is pending serial assignment since 10/30. Doesn't show when form 3 was filed though in invoice but when I called they said they were in process.

Your serial #, in general, will show up when the Form 3 is approved. With TBAC, I have experienced everything from 1 day to 30 days. YMMV

I see that on the Invoice. I also see they are averaging 2 days for the Form 3 so that's why I was wondering with the timeframe I am in.
My last TBAC took exactly 1 month from Serial allocation to Form 3 approval.

Not sure if there are any other threads on it. But just for some info to throw on the pile. There was no significant POI shift from our 338 Ultra to our Magnus-S RR.

Rifle is a Tac Ops KMW-51 from the group buy. FGMM 168. Each group is 3 shots. On the superimposed, I just marked the 4 on the outside to get a decent idea.

Their demand exploded after last years shot show on top of now form 4 wait times are in the days vs months. Last I talked to them about it they’re trying to get timelines down. Can’t remember if they were getting new machines to help or not, but I’d assume so.

We are shipping stuff continuously to dealers, so the pipeline is full and being delivered on. Demand just got kind of crazy in 2024. This means it will be much much faster to get a can from a dealer who submits regular orders and has what you want either in stock, incoming, or in the queue, versus ordering directly from us.

As I understand it, if you pre-order (don't pay up front) you'll get a notice with 2 dozen other bozos when they come in, and you will have to jump on it fast before they're gone. So set an alert for your email or something.

If you pay in full up front, you're front of the line when they come in and can't get scooped.

At least that's what they told me in July

Bought an in stock Magnus with hub threads this morning from Mile High. Been several years since buying my last can, so I'm pretty stoked!
It's an amazing can. Also, the HUB thread option is one of the best things TBAC did in a long time... Whoever told them they should do that sure was a smart feller, even though lots of folks here on the forum ripped on him mercilessly for even suggesting it... 😏
Yeah I saw they had some but ad said in store delivery only
Any Class III FFL can sell to any Class III FFL, it just has to be Form 3'd to your dealer before you can start the paperwork to Form 4 it to you. Their Compliance Dept. should be able to handle that easily, if they are already a Class III dealer. You might be able to get it done through a phone call vs. trying to just order it online. Usually phone calls help get things done like that.

I have enjoyed my few shots of my 6.5PRC with the Magnus S. Just ordered the Dead Air Nomad Ti XC after rereading all of the TBAC summit data and will be curious to see how they sound in person.
How do you like that TiXC? I just got mine but haven't shot it.

I was going to get a few more can chaps for that one and a reg NomadTi but what's up with the reports of slippage? I haven't noticed any slippage on my other 2 can chaps so is this just am issue with magnums or that specific can or what ? Anyone know?

I'm hoping some aftermarket company picks up where TB doesn't want to and make them. There's no reason they can't seeing as every other company out there allows you replace them. I have a baffled K and everyone agrees, that thing is not comfortable without hearing protection.

If you have an Omega or something similar you could try one of the RecoilX brakes. The reality though is without pushing serious pressure through the can/brake it doesn't make a huge difference.

It’s still recommended to wear hearing protection. In a hunting situation one rounds won’t kill you.

I've shot entire matches with a Magnus or Takedown without any muffs and no issues. That's why we have them and they have suppressor only squads. Can't do that with a K and those baffles don't help with sound but awesome on recoil.

Hearing loss is cumulative and will eventually catch up with you. I still wear double ear pro when shooting in colonoscopy only squads.
