Well it's that time of year again.

Sounds like Primary Arms is bringing out a replacement for thir GLX 2.5-10, not actually a rumor as it was all but confirmed here. Interested to see what this turns out to be.

I did read rumour that Tikka was coming out with a few competition orientated rifles, in particular a new rimfire model. Very interesting to see what this turns out to be.

Lord only knows what we will see, I don't expect anything earth shattering though. Likely the GPT standard in certain models, maybe specific direct mount optic cuts to the commercial market. While I'm fine with the capacity of the various models, an actual Glock produced metal magazine would make a bunch of folks happy.
I really like the G26 and G43x, I think the 43x was more of a product to suit the 10 round bans and has driven development of a few other brands in that class. The G26 came out during the early stages of the magazine ban, took advantage of the existing designs(17/19) and has been a favorite since, it's my favorite carry piece. Having said that, I feel that a model that bridged the two with a metal magazine would be a good thing. Maybe the same concept with the 43 and 42, great little guns.

This is my opinion, with a carry gun and for most people, there is a compromise somewhere. Trick is being able to overcome those and be smarter than the piece of plastic and metal in your hand. For instance, I like the 26-the compromise is the grip height, trade off for the short height which is the most critical to concealment. I use the standard magazine and simply curl my pinky finger underneath the magazine, easy and effective. What do most do? buy extensions and end up with a G19 height. The other thing I do is use a G19 holster-avoids the "Keel" effect. WHat I call bullshit on is people saying the gun is to small, "my hand is big" Really--I've seen folks who know how to overcome simple issues and have huge hands running the 19 and 26 with ease.

Anyhow, carry on.

I heard there will be the following released:

1. Remington 700 clones with gay ass names.
2. 1911 clones with gay ass names.
3. Glock clones with gay ass names.
4. Not innovative scopes with gay ass names.
5. A $75,000.00 primer seater.
6. A new caliber with a gay ass name.
7. More non innovative aluminum chassis with gay ass names.
8. $800 hunting boots made in China that also have a gay ass name.

Can’t wait to see the “new” 700 clone named ‘The thundering hammer of Thor’. It’s so innovative because it has one more thread in the mounting screws which will stabilize it more betterer than the previous screws.

You forgot a bunch of gay ass cerakote schemes with fitting gay ass names (looking at you Browning: Wicked Wing)

You know they are going all in with gay/woke stuff because they are trying to appeal to their identified new LBGTQwhatever customer base that’s buying guns to defend themselves from Trumps stormtroopers trying to put them in camps 🙄.

Que the LGTQ…..Shotshow, just wait until they change the “Shot” part of the Shotshow name…..

They have been giving stupid ass names to products for the last 7 years or so. The firearms world is stagnant as fuck.

Not precision rifle but something new and super cool. I got to be involved in some of the development and it’s a fucking sweet PCC.

HK still hates us…

Thank you for that info and link.

But I've got to look a lot harder before I spend $3,800 with a boutique start up with great intentions than I do to spend half that with an established firearms manufacturer.

Startup often have growing pains which lead to quality/reliability issues. I'm not saying that's the case with this guy. I'm just saying that he needs to build a reputation based on his actual product over time before I would consider ordering one.

Other than the market demand for the P7, there's no reason they should cost that much, even if HK made it. What would drive it up though is the fact of start up, tooling cost and the actual number of buyers-may not be as high as the internet makes it out to be.

Eagerly awaiting what the news ends up being, Tikka released a teaser vid on fb earlier about a new rifle.

From their instagram video, I googled “Tikka ACE Rifle” and came up with a bunch of listings for “Tikka T3X Ace” in various calibers/configurations. Guessing it’s more variants or improvements of the T3X rather than a completely new rifle.

The guy who started it is the pre-eminent expert on P7s, He started with springs and small parts years ago, being the only source so people could maintain their P7s.

Its similar to Mike Bush. He was the guy who was customizing 40x rimfires and eventually started vudoo. Those types of guys are anal and will get everything right.

You forgot to add ar15 with gay ass name! Lol

That Tikka ACE lookings like a shop (Ace Rifles) doing semi custom builds off Tikka actions, so I’m guess all unrelated.
That teaser video on Facebook suggests a rimfire (based off the bullet holes), although that’s me being biased by the other rumour I heard.

If they do a factory heavy barrel (and hopefully longer than 20”) 22lr I think I’ll pick one up.

No, that is incorrect. New offerings from TIkka.

Sorry, yes he was correct. I was seeing a bunch of semi custom rifles busy Ace Rifles, but there are also a bunch of listings through retailers with info but no pictures.

Sounds like a new chassis and even some 26" barrel length options.

Will be keen to see what these turn out to be.

I’ll just put this here. While Ace rifles may build custom Tikkas, those aren’t what people are finding online.

HA! Word is that federal has revolutionized ammunition. There is a terrible rumor that it's just a HP 7mm, but that makes no sense at all!

My money is on a 10x24mm, explosive tip, caseless, light armor-piercing round in 99 round standard magazines.

Staccato is apparently releasing a pistol that takes Glock mags, after just releasing their own proprietary mags less than a couple years ago.
