You connect your V3 AT thrower if you have one or use a manual dumper like the Lee or Harrels. Then set cup on pan and IP trickler and electronics trickle your charge
I’ve posted this like a million times around here, but I’ve been doing it like this for 2+ years, 10 seconds or less (usually less) per drop, almost never an overcharge, maybe 1 or 2 here or there over ~200-400 drops using Shooters World Precision Rifle with its random-sized kernels (and if it does go over, we’re talking +0.02gn, almost not even worth sweating it). FWIW, I took this vid about 5mins after I first plugged it in and before I tuned it up (it’s faster than this vid really shows):

The Lee Perfect Powder measure is $31. Or you can get the nicer Lee Deluxe for around $60..
Mount it on the lid of your A&D if you want. Your not dumping a precise charge...its just to dump a bulk charge below your final charge weight.. usually 1-2gr below final charge. The IP electronics and IP Trickler will do the rest.

I started doing this in November. I already had the A&D scale and an old RCBS powder measure, and the tricklers are in stock now so I bought one. You also need 3 things from AT: The AT3 electronics, the cable, and a new power supply (apparently the one that comes with the scale doesn't supply enough to run the trickler and the scale together). Total cost of parts from AT was about 80.00. It was the best reloading gear purchase decision I've ever made.
I prefer to seat each bullet immediately after charging, using an AMP press on Autorun. I set the charged case and bullet in the inline die, set it on the press and manually dump the charge and set it on the scale while the press runs. By the time I do that, the press has seated the bullet, so I remove the finished cartridge from the seating die while the IP tops off the next charge, and everything gets done at about the same time. There is no waiting on anything - my hands are constantly moving just to keep the flow going, and I like that because it's so efficient. I'm using the time to manually drop the powder for the press to seat the bullet, and the time the trickler is running to remove the finished cartridge from the press. It's very fast, and although I'm anxiously awaiting the full system to come out, I really don't see where it's going to be any faster (and of course the results are going to be identical because the IP trickler is the key to the success of the system).
Now I have the option of converting my Pre-Order for the full system into just an "Upgrade" system that he offers for those who already have the trickler. Not sure if I'll do that, or leave it as-is and have a spare trickler on hand.

No I don't think it will be much faster but it will definitely be easier just to set it there and do your thing. My time is the most valuable to me though, so basically anything that makes loading easier and/or faster, I'm gonna get it. That said, the separate electronic keypad thing and the hopper set up on the dropper are the two things I am most excited to get with it. Being able to store the settings and not have to use a phone or anything and removing the powder from the hopper being so easy are really going to make it easier for me
I agree. I’m still excited to get the whole system (and disappointed to hear it’s been delayed yet again to end of March), but at least I am satisfied for now with the IP Trickler/manual drop setup. Manually trickling was a PITA I’m glad to be done with.
Getting my electronics first. It sounds interesting. If I’m correct I’ll be able to calibrate my trickler for now to the powder I’m using. Then the whole system will calibrate and remember each different powder once the dropper arrives. If I remember correctly he said up to 25 powders.
Yeah that's my understanding of it. It's going to be nice. I may break down and get the electronics first too but I really would like to get the whole thing.

From what Paul said the electronics are ready but he is waiting on some other part to show up. That was how I took or conversation.
I would call if you want more information. I do not want to give incorrect information. I spoke with him when I had a question about buying the electronics early. I put in a request on the site and got a phone call in less than 24 hrs

when you drop a bulk charge and the trickler finishes it off, doesn’t it have to go back to zero to start the process again? Or can you put a cup with weight/bulk charge and have it go from there?
The scale goes back to zero when you lift the filled cup off the scale… so if you were manually dropping bulk charges and wanted to go even faster, all you would need is 2 cups that weigh the same (and all that would take is some sanding with most cups).
The trickler does the hard part and does it fast, so the bulk drop almost doesn’t even matter and doesn’t even really need to be that consistent, the trickler will trickle up to the target weight regardless.
Yes, like CK said. The entire process goes like this:
After allowing the scale the specified warm-up time, place your cup on the scale and Zero it. When you take the cup off, it will read the weight of your cup as a negative number (-727.20gr for mine). I like to verify it returns exactly to Zero when I put it back on the scale, and back to the same negative number when I take it off.
Now you set your manual thrower to throw somewhere around 1.5gr under your target weight. If 80.0 is your target, somewhere between 78.0-79.0 works great. You have to do this before you engage the app to the trickler, or else it will try to trickle while you're trying to set your manual charge weight.
With the manual charge all set, and with the cup off the scale, you then connect the app on the phone via bluetooth and set the target weight.
Now manually throw the charge (78-79gr is what I set it for in this example) into the cup and put it on the scale. The Trickler will engage and finish the charge up to 80.0 and stop.
Pour the finished charge into the case. If you're going to seat the bullet next, DON'T set the cup back on the scale. Set it on the bench while you seat the bullet. If you put the cup back on the scale empty, it will go back to Zero and the trickler will engage and try to trickle out the entire 80gr up from Zero (you don't want that

Since I'm using the AMP press on Autotrun (runs itself once you place the die on the sensor), while it's seating the bullet I pick the cup up off the bench and manually throw the next charge and put it on the scale. While the tricker is finishing that one, I pull the finished round out of the seating die and the whole process starts over.Afterthought - With the windscreen on the scale, the lid prevents a direct view of the platen from my line of sight. When I pull the finished charge off the scale, I always look to see that it goes to exactly -727.20. If I get something else (say -727.16) I know there is a stray kernel that spilled and is sitting on the platen that I can't see until I bend down and look through the window. The powder in your cup is short of the target by that one kernel (or two, or however many spilled). Better to catch it now than after you've poured it in the case! I guess those who don't run the windscreen can see any spilled kernels, but I can't with it on. Seeing the right number on the scale is all I need to see to know there aren't any. It's rare, but one will jump out every now and then.

Correct. The scale is going to go below zero every time you remove the cup, and then back to 78-ish when you replace it with the manually thrown charge in it, at which point the trickler will engage and finish it to 80.0.

If you put your cup on the scale empty and zero it...then no, you take the cup off after that, dump your bulk charge and set back on sale and IP trickler instantly starts running and stops at your set charge weight... rinse and repeat
