I was looking to switch out my 40 MOA scope base for a 30 MOA one, however the 30 MOA is out of stock everywhere in Canada.

Does anyone know if the Area 419 R700 Improved Scope Base will fit a Vudoo 360? I assume yes, but just wanted to be sure.

No I don’t believe a 700 base will fit and you need a Vudoo specific. Why do you want to change? 10 moa difference is not a lot.
Current running a 40 MOA base with a 20 MOA mount. Was fine with my ZCO527, but I recently switched over to a TT735 which has 5mil less elevation. My 50 yard zero with it is 0.4D as my scope ran out of elevation.

The Canadian distributor won't have anything until the April export and that's not even confirmed. Was hoping to fix my issue before NRL22 Nationals in May without buying another mount.

Near Manufucting in Canada could make one for you, I’ll bet. Whatever MOA you want and probably better than anything else.

Guy is a legend. Call him, don’t email. He’s got a couple of websites that basically show the same stuff.

I'll try giving him a call tomorrow.

I also found someone that does custom cant and ships to Canada. Anyone have experience with Murphy?

I do. He’s awfully good, but I must admit Richard at Near is perhaps better. Richard’s R700 bases have a little recoil bump on the underside that Murphy doesn’t do (last I saw).

However, Murphy makes lots of stock rails that Richard would have to make custom.

I particularly like a titanium Tikka rail I had Murphy make. Can’t go wrong, really, with either.

Richard ships like lightening; Murphy ships average speed, sometimes slow. I think Richard’s pricing may be higher, but perhaps it’s a wash for you canucks.

I’d definitely give Richard a call, but this is what his site says, emphasis mine:

Remington 700 SA 10 MOA and 20MOA
Remington 700 LA 10 MOA and 40MOA

ALL BASES 175 plus airmail

Last time I had an Alphamount made it was basically custom-ish though so he’ll probably work with you and his stuff is truly beautifully made.

I have had a vudoo 360 for a couple years , about a year ago I put a diffferent barrel on it . Recently decided in interim to return to orginal barrel. It’s a bartlien barrel, it indexes to the correct spot , the ejector grooves are horizontal . So I believe everything is back to factory.
Here is twist , I tried rimfire go no go gauges , the no go even with tape on it is loose to close the bolt .

My question is does the action wear ? It prob has 15-25 thousand rounds . Was it headspace incorrectly from day one ? Not trying to flame anyone just understand why I have this extra headspace .

Yes. Cerakote wears off and the headspace becomes off. It didn't affect my accuracy as far as I can tell. That's also why they switched back to melonite.

I have two Vudoo's, V22 360 with a melonite bolt, V22S SS bolt. The melonite is wearing off and the SS is susceptible to brown spots if you are not careful with maintenance. I don't understand why VGW didn't DLC coat the bolts, a far superior coating. I enquired about having the bolts DLC coated and was told by VGW they would not honor the warranty because it would change the dimensions. DLC coating is 2 to 4 microns thick, yet they used Cerakote which is a far thicker coating that wears off easily.
