Vudoo Gun Works V-22 Rimfire Bolt Action

I have the stock, plastic, magazines and use to get the rim lock problem. I got one of the @Panther magazine loaders but he has, sadly, passed.

His magazine loader easily solved the problem of rim lock. However, I have found a couple of magazine loaders.

This first one looks like the product that Panther produced.

This second one looks like might be a little better than the aforementioned loader.

I switched to different ammo yesterday which has a different bullet shape. Again the feel is misleading. I’m smashing the bullet tip even though based on feel it feeds “fine.” You would never know there is an issue if you don’t extract and look. I’ve done all I can adjusting. I’ll revisit the mag again if I ever switch chassis. I’ll stick with the factory plastic mags which work 100%. I just have to take care loading them.

I've had a very different experience so far. I played with the adjustment quite a bit (maybe 20 minutes) the first day trying to get the mags to lock in snuggly. I ended up just setting them up so they seat the same as the OE mags. I saw your post about your bullets getting dinged up so decided to pull my rifle out and tested it today. I've only tested this with SK ammo, but I didn't have any issues with either of my magazines.

The bullet on the right was chambered 3 times and the bullet on the left was never chambered. Aside from the grove marks from the rifling, the bullet looked no different before or after chambering. Sorry the pictures aren't great, but kind of hard to get close details on 22lr. I've had bullet tips get damaged due to poor feeding so I know what to look for. That was mostly in my 10/22, but my Vudoo has done it with the old L3i Elite mags. I have those adjusted really well, but every now and then they don't feed properly.

Anyways, not sure if the different is our setups (V22 360 in Manners TCS w/ Mini Chassis) or the actual magazines, but everyone here should test them out for themselves. I haven't had a chance to really run these heavily or in competition yet as October is super busy both for work and personal life.

If I were to film myself running the bolt in and out and feeding rounds from the mag and post it, I guarantee 100% would comment, “ok what’s the problem?”
Here’s the problem at least with my sample size of one. I have it adjusted the best I can. Any higher up and it won’t even feed. The feed angle is too great. Any lower and it scrapes the 6 oclock part of the band. How it’s adjusted now it’s doing both. Again if I didn’t pay attention I would never known based on feel. Pictures show best sample with the “least” damage.

I did the same and my bullets are fine.

Wow that is really bad. Probably a dumb question, but did you mess with depth adjustment much? I ended up canting mine in at the bottom slightly to get a better release, but wondering if there is any more adjustment there you could mess with.

I’ve done it all. I’ve wasted probably 100+ rounds trying to dial it in. I’m not wasting any more ammo at this point unless I switch stocks. My Curtis conversion uses Vudoo mags so I might mess with that and the Stinger mag.
