Ingenuity Powder System

I ordered a scale, electronics and trickler. Had a receipt and shipping order in a few hours. I needed an upgraded system now so I opted to get everything currently available from IG and just use a cheap Lee powder measure to do dumps within a couple grains of final loads. Maybe I will get the rest when it comes available (who am I kidding I am sure i will).....it will definitely be a nicer package and a litle faster. I plan on running 2 same weight cups so my frankenstein set up will be much faster and more precise than the dual RCBS 1500's I use now.
How much did that run? I might do the same

Received my setup today.

Blows the original ATV3+IP out of the water.

Thanks again @Ingenuity1, looking forward to the complete system.

Did you already have the stand(s) for the trickler? I don’t want to buy that and then finally get the email that the whole system is ready
Correct. I had the first version of the IP.

The "electronics only" version comes only with what is pictured below. Paul will send the "remaining" system with the price adjusted accordingly.

Are they still around at that price? Hell, even double that
I got 1 at that and 1 at double that... No, those specific sellers I got mine from are sold out now. They went so damn fast once word got out. But Im told batches keep showing up as difference dispensaries go belly up and liquidate... I posted links in one of the threads but they were gone quick.

Loaded the firmware update to the controller but couldn't see a difference. Not saying it didn't help as I only loaded 25 round for the 300 PRC. I also took Paul's advice and removed the baffle from the V3 printed funnel. That made a huge difference! Will say there are voids in the funnel walls once the baffle is removed. I used JB putty to fill and make smooth. I'm very pleased with the V3 and controller setup. Can only imagine what the full IP setup will be like.

I just used my updated electronics and felt it made a real difference. I was getting some overthrows before but it seems to have completely stopped. But I really did not tweak my trickler settings before.

Like you I can’t wait to get the complete setup.

I’ve been debating if it’s worth it. Sounds like you guys think it is
I really like it because I don’t need to have any device to hook it up to. But it also seems to make the trickler run way more efficient.

Plus if you are getting the IP anyway it gives you the chance to mess around with it before the rest of the system arrives.

I picked up the ip electronics to run my v3 and ip trickler, as well as 2 powder cups. Loaded up 400 rounds this evening, and it was much faster and more consistent then the autotrickler electronics, i also really enjoy having the controller rather then needing to use the app. Much more intuitive to adjust setting as well. Really has me excited for the full system.

The powder cups were within .3 grains of one another, which made it very easy to adjust them to be identical weights. Over the 400 plus throws, i may have had 1 kernel bounce out which was very nice vs the cups i was using which i’d have to clean the scale off after every 100 rounds.

Overall i am very pleased with everything thus far. Also, Paul is awesome, i sent in the request, and received a phone call from him shortly after, and way beyond typical business hours.

Can anyone tell me where to find the Iphone App for the new controller? Maybe I'm an idiot, but I can't find it anywhere. Thanks in advance!
You’ll get an email from Doug Skogman with the link after you buy the electronics kit. You’ll need to download the “test flight” app which will allow you to use apps still in beta testing. Should be good to go after that.

It is...makes the V3 and the IP trickler run faster with no over throws once you calibrate the trickler to the powder your using. I am at 6.5-7secs per drop(which is awesome for me because I load on a Dillon 750)plus you can bump one kernel at a time with the IP controller and its way easier to use than the App.
If there was a scale with a faster response time I bet a guy could get 3-4sec drops. Like everyone else, cant wait to get the entire system...I will get the system complete with a scale and have the V3 as a back up.

Current status, us IP trickler, keypad, and interface to junction with ATV3 thrower piggybacked to IP products?

So there still is no official IP system? I don't see the solenoid actuated dumper, just another v3 style throw, but it's silver now? (@NiteQwill setup) ive had a full system on order since 12/23/23.

Just trying to find a lay of the land now, I quit watching the old thread as it went sideways, just now saw this one.

You can buy the electronics now and use it on your v3 or manual dump. Paul is waiting on the final parts supposedly coming in soon.

Correct. If you are an existing ATV3+IP user, you can buy the electronics and cup completely separate, for now.

Then pay the difference when the complete unit arrives.

I just got the IP Electronics for the V3 and it is pretty awesome so far. Having the controller is nice, I was surprised how quite the powder thrower motor is with the IP electronics/controller.

Based off of what Smokenaces posted about removing the baffle on the V3 funnel, I made and 3d printed a nozzle without the baffle. While I was testing the nozzle out, it seemed like the angle of the funnel can cause the occasional gun powder kernel to come out of the nozzle at an almost sideway trajectory and miss the powder cup.

I made another nozzle that is a very slight taper from bigger to smaller with the intent to make the gun powder drop straight down. I did around 100 throws last night with the IP Powder cup and the straight drop funnel and I didn't have a single kernel bounce out or not make it into the IP powder cup.

I definitely think a funnel with a straight drop workers better with the IP Powder Cup.

Here is what I made if anybody wants to replicate it or I could probably upload it so people with 3d printers can printer their own. I'm still new to CAD so I'm sure someone with more experience could make a better one than me.

I needed a new system now and didn't have the time to wait for my spot on the IP list and release of the full system. I have had very good results from the available new IP electronics/controller doing manual dumps with a cheap Lee powder throw and finishing with the IP trickler. It'll serve me fine until Paul's release of the parts to complete the system and it rolls around to my place on the list. Still faster and more accurate than the dual 1500s I have been using for a good while. The IP trickler just works.

That’s exactly what I’m doing as well.

If you don’t mind uploading the stl file that would be awesome. I can’t PM you because you don’t have enough posts yet, but you’re here now so I’m sure you will become addicted.

Thanks!

I uploaded the files to Makerworld here is the link AT Straight Drop Funnel stl I made one for the V3 and the V4. There is a regular size and longer size. I like the longer version more since the Ingenuity Precision Powder Cup is shorter then the AutoTrickler Powder Cup. If you give them a try let me know what you think
