Remember in 2023 when San fransicko authorized one time payments of $5mil to every eligible adult descendant of slaves? Guess that was their idea of 40 acres and a mule. Now, to the op’s point, I agree and we have millions of acres of land here in the western half of the United States. More than enough to go around. Of course they won’t take it cause it would actually be work. So instead they will settle for the one time payments.

People living in urban areas who have dealt with the homeless and panhandlers KNOW that if you are to give them something, you NEVER give them ready to use resources like cash or a free place to stay. That will only incentivize them to misuse the funds and never be motivated to pull themselves out of the rut they are in. You give them sandwiches, water, phone numbers to career and housing resources, mental help and addiction treatment if they look like they need it. Raw resources, the first step to acknowledging their problems. The rest will be up to them to put in the effort.

Back in the 90's I was listening to a local Dallas radio station (92.5 FM KZPS.) One of the DJs mentioned seeing a beggar on the traffic island at the intersection of Lovers Lane and Greenville Avenue (and I used to live not too far from there.) The "homeless" person had a sign that said "will work for food."

So, the DJ parked and went and talked to him. He offered him a job at the radio station at competitive non-union pay as a general helper around the studio. Distribute memos, remove trash, put away supplies. And there is always a table of food sitting out. And you could get there by way of the bus routes.

The homeless guy said, "No thanks, I would rather have money."

A good beggar makes real $##%ing money, sadly!

There are some fuckheads near me who stand outside the Hannafords dressed up like the Mennonites... including their little girl. On a weekday. When she should be in school. And claim "Our truck broke down, we need money to get home."

They are fucking crackheads.... But betting they are raking it in.

I have mentioned to the local Mennonite community that they should do something about "Stolen Mennonite Valor." But apparently, they don't have the same level of pipe-hitters as the Amish.

Another time, I read the newspaper and the reporter staked out a beggar who had a bad limp and looked like death warmed over.

At the end of his day, he limped around to behind another building. And walked straight to a late model Cadillac Deville. Opened the trunk, washed off his face, combed his hair.

Walked around just fine and got in and drove home to his really nice house in Frisco.

Fuck off. North dakota has too many people already. This is not a good place for anyone to live. -38°below zero this week. Long winters. High food prices, high house prices. Long drives. No hills. Disgruntled people everywhere. North dakota is not fit for man nor beast. Stay away.

I will stay just so others don't have too.

Yeah I worked out of there for a couple of years.
One of my last jobs i did there we were basically diverted mid itenerary to Freetown Sierra Leon because it was election time and they were shooting at our crew change helicopters while busy raping and killing each other.
We were set up in the presidential resort overnight ( AKA shit hole with no AC, unreliable electricity and internet and sleeping under mosquito nets).
The next day were led through the airport security by the warlords son that all but bitch slapped any of them that questioned us or asked for anything and boarded choppers and left.
Africa is pretty much the becon of democracy you could imagine or expect looking at the Demonrat party here.

When the Ubangis start talking about reparations remind them that approximately 360,000 Union soldiers died trying to free them. As far as I can tell, all of my ancestors that fought during the war, served in the Union Army.

So if the Ubangis are going to get reparations, then I want mine as well.

This article is a couple of years old. I'm not a big fan of Bernie Moreno but what he said was great.

If you monetize that idea...40 acres and a mule...

Average land price in US is about $3000 per acre. So $120,000. Add $5000 for a damned good mule and we are at $125,000 for a one time payout. To make it equitable, that would only be offered to the male descendants of slaves because that 40 acres and a mule was only offered to males. $125k vs a lifetime on the gubment dole.

Line 'em up, sign 'em up.

I also agree with deporting each and every person on US soil without a proper VISA. Working on a student VISA? Bye-Bye!
Then there is exile. I fully support exile of those who cannot support the Constitution. Where? I'd start with Syria. That nation has had mass exodus over the last 2 decades, should be plenty of room for a million ex-US dipshiits.

Western North dakota is a hell hole where locals will kill you just as soon as look at you. There are no places to stay and all the water is polluted. Weather is terrible. Scenery is boring. Barely livable. The people that are there are enough and noone else needs to go there. Let them live their lives and don't bother them.
