I'm back to now having issues with Quantum. My Descent MK3i no longer shows up in devices and neither does the kestrel 5700x. I dug out a Foretrex and it will connect, but that's it. I've gone through removing Quantum, rebooting the devices, re-installing Quantum, doesn't change anything. The Descent and the Kestrel no longer show up.
I REALLY like Quantum, when it works. It seems like it will go for a little while and then loose it's mind and won't actually connect to anything correctly again.
If you are having connection issues with devices please use the in app support function to send in a ticket so we can see what is going on. We don't have any known issues with the Garmins.
For the Kestrel you should do the following:
1) Make sure the Kestrel battery mode matches the battery type. Settings -> System -> Battery -> Type
2) Make sure the Kestrel PIN function is set to OFF.
3) Make sure the Kestrel Bluetooth mode is set to PC/Mobile.
4) Make sure the Kestrel is not paired to anything else device or app wise (Kestrel LiNK Ballistics, or any other app).
5) Place a fresh battery in the Kestrel.
6) Make sure the Kestrel is on Firmware 1.53 or newer.
7) Make sure the Kestrels Bluetooth Power is set to MAX (on models that have this feature).
8) Reboot the Kestrel.
To reboot the Kestrel pull the battery out of the Kestrel while holding the power button. Then place the battery back in the Kestrel, remove it from the devices list in AB Quantum and then add it back. It is important to note, the Kestrel does not turn off when you press the power button, it goes into a low power mode. To restart the Kestrel requires the battery be pulled while holding the power button for 30 seconds.
