Just a heads up. DNT has announced a price increase being imposed next week. We wanted to give a heads up on this and, what we assume, will be similar announcements from other manufacturers. We will honor the current pricing as long as current inventory allows.

That's bullshit! I quit!

I do suspect there will be quite a lot of price increase riding off the "tariffs" thing. I don't know all that trade stuff well enough to know if this is really the reason. What I am sure of is there is someone on this site that can tell me I'm wrong. LOL

If that reason is legit, this is a big kick in the pants on these China scopes of late. Seems they were getting much better for the price. Guess I'll just stick to my Tangent Thetas on my airguns. :ROFLMAO:

The assumption is the optics from China will be about 10%, the optics companies using pieces parts from China should be slightly less than 10% and I pray that Tangent, from Canada, is not 25%

Hey Doug, do you know whats up with the DNT Sniper's Hide reticle? I'm about ready to buy one but would like to get in on that.

The tariff on Chinese goods is 20% (two separate 10% tariffs in Feb and Mar).

The actual tariff amount will be determined on the “declared value” of the goods, which is the Chinese OEM’s price (less freight) to the US importer of record.

The higher the margin, the less of an impact on the street price. If Chyna-OEM sells the scope to US Retailer for $300 and the street price is $600 then they only need to increase the price by 10% to cover the 20% tariff.

And then Covid style they’ll use “tariffs” as an excuse to rape is on anything they can. “They” will vary in rapiness I’m sure company to company.

Screw those slope dopes and the monkey leading them , along with that maple leaf dork and the slut bellowing at our southern border !. Perhaps is donkey dildo hadn't pissed away $4.7 TRILLION and slammed this Country so far into debt . None of us would be having this conversation
  • President Trump has threatened and imposed a variety of new tariffs for his second term in office, from universal baseline tariffs to country-specific tariffs.
  • We estimate that President Trump’s 25 percent tariffs on Canada and Mexico would reduce long-run GDP by 0.2 percent, reduce hours worked by 223,000 full-time equivalent jobs, and reduce after-tax incomes by an average of 0.6 percent—before accounting for foreign retaliation.
  • Together, the Mexico, China, and Canada tariffs will increase federal tax revenue by $142 billion this year, that amounts to an average tax increase of $1,072 per US household.
  • We estimate that the imposed tariffs on China would reduce long-run GDP by 0.1 percent, the proposed tariffs on Canada and Mexico by 0.3 percent, the proposed expansion of steel and aluminum tariffs by less than 0.05 percent, and the proposed tariffs on motor vehicles and motor vehicle parts by 0.1 percent—before accounting for foreign retaliation.
  • The first Trump administration imposed tariffs on thousands of products valued at approximately $380 billion in 2018 and 2019, amounting to one of the largest tax increases in decades.
  • The Biden administration kept most of the Trump administration tariffs in place, and in May 2024, announced tariff hikes on an additional $18 billion of Chinese goods, including semiconductors and electric vehicles.
  • We estimate the 2018-2019 trade war tariffs imposed by Trump and retained by Biden reduce long-run GDP by 0.2 percent, the capital stock by 0.1 percent, and employment by 142,000 full-time equivalent jobs.

Well @gr8fuldoug , if you get low on stock in the MIL version, hold one aside for me, let me know, and I'll grab it from you before the price increase. 😂
I got a delivery yesterday which is now half gone. Give a call, 516-217-1000, and I'll get one on the way to you.

As far as the price increase goes, once I get the intel I will pass it on. Been doing this way to long to guess at what's going to happen.
