Precision Match timer is what I & most use on their Apple watch.

Will yours work on the watch as well?
Hey Defender ! The answer is yes. This is an Apple Watch app. I developed it out of the desire to have something that touches on several of my interests with prs and nrl shooting being at the top. Realizing that I often rush because I don't know where I am at with time, I wanted something similar to the crush it timer for my Apple Watch. I had been shown the Precision Match timer, but I felt that it was lacking some features that I personally would like...so here is a brief explanation of what I put into this app to help me...

- The ability to create custom timers and have them saved in a list until you decide to delete them

- A programable default timer as well as a last timer used

- Each timer can be configured with its own alerts. So once you create the alerts, they stick with that specific timer. So when I make my 2 minute par timer, 1:45, and 1:30 timer, I don't have to worry about re-creating the alerts nor worry about the wrong alerts being with the timer. And on top of that, I can easily edited the alerts! But whatever match I show up to, I just tap on the alert I need, and I know it's good to go/set how I want it.

- I added the ability to have a beeping chime along with a voice. The voice on the Apple Watch at times is hard to hear, so a beep that can be set from 1-4 beeps really helps.

- The timer can be configured with one of three gestures to start it, double tap screen, shake wrist, and double tap fingers for Apple Watch 9 and up.

- Easy timer reset when going from state to stage or when re loading the grill!

There are many more features, but these are just some that make the app really useful and intuitive! Please feel free to jump in on the beta and give me some feedback.

App is downloaded. I have a NRL22 match this weekend. I'll have some feedback for you.
Awesome! But be on the lookout for beta build updates. Current test flight version is 1.0.1, but version 1.0.2 should be up by lunch time. The app isn't 100% yet as it's in beta, but I'm uploading new builds daily to TestFlight. Hope it helps!

Note that there is a bug with the app...when the wrist is lowered and the screen goes to sleep, the wrist shake detection won't be recognized...this is due to limitations set in place with Apple. Currently waiting to hear from Apple engineers on how this can be resolved. Just make sure you look at your watch right quick!

Very cool! I have the other one but it seems buggy to me. Especially the wrist shake.
I couldn’t get my kid the iOS designer to make me one, so I’m looking forward to try yours. Any chance it’s got Bluetooth into ear protection? That way others don’t hear how badly I screw up? 😂

It sure does! Any bluetooth device. Works with either the voice alert or "beep" alert. Just be sure though to turn down the volume on the beep...it can be loud!

Great app! Easy to set up and use. The other apps fail when my Apple Watch 10 goes to sleep/power save mode, but this app keeps on working.

The only feature I’d recommend adding is a split timer for shots. It would help to know how quickly I can get set up for the first shot and the splits on position heavy stages.

Kudos and looking forward to the full release.

App won't open for me. First time it states that it can't open and to try later. I removed it and loaded it again. Now it's completely unresponsive when I click on 'open'. I deleted it again and deleted TestFlight and reinstalled both. Still won't respond when I hit 'open'.

So once you download test flight, click on the original invitation link. After you install the app, it will be installed on your Apple Watch! So go to your apps on your watch and you should see it. The reason it won’t open is because that usually only works for apps on your phone. But once you have installed it, you’re good to go. So again, just go to your apps on your watch and you’ll be able to open it there.

Maybe if I'd read and follow instructions.

Works on the AppleWatch.

Did you turn on the health kit permission that’s new for 1.0.4? In order for the timer to work in the background, it has to run as a “workout session”. Per apples requirements, the developer has to ask the users permission to do this…I didn’t have it in previous builds, but it must be included going forward per Apple. If you saw the prompt and didn’t allow the permission, got to settings, health kit, apps, pacemaster timer, and turn on. That should bring back the functionality! Otherwise, the timer won’t run in the background as you are experiencing.

The new version works as it should, no more sleep/timer pause.
User Interface is simple and intuitive.

Recommend KISS principle as the basic app with shot timer, dope card that advances with shots, as the advanced (pay) version.
I’ll try it in a match setting and let you know how it works.

The app has been released!

I bought in. Is there a way to make it vibrate vs. beep at the intervals or at the count down? After spending time around MG’s, aircraft, and arty, I am cursed with the perpetual serenade of cicadas. Some days are better than others, but if I could feel the intervals vs. “hearing” them, well that would be huge!

I’ll put that down as a potential feature. Will play around with the haptics and see if a smooth, progressive haptic feedback for the countdown is possible. Thanks!

Also, remember that you can add haptic vibrations on your alerts. While this currently won't remove the beep or voice, it will vibrate along with the sound. Here is a video showcasing the current settings/functions of the app.

Can it talk or speak the times? Would love a customizable version of the Sper Talking Timer for NRL Hunter matches.
Absolutely! You can have a voice call out times/alerts or have a beep like the mdt crush it timer. There are other features like haptic alerts, screen flashes, and the ability to have always on for the timer. Check out the YouTube video to see an overview of it! And please don’t hesitate to ask any other questions.

Derp, sorry I didn't see the video posted. Purchased, thanks!

The 10s countdown at the end adds a lot of stress at a potentially critical moment. If I turn that off on your app, it doesn't give me an ending notification when time expires. Can you add a 0s notification option? Perhaps "Time" or "Finished"?

Great idea! I'll try and have that added by the end of the week. Thanks!

Recommended this to my buddy (I don’t own an Apple Watch) and he used it at the PRS snake river match. He likes all the features and customization, however when he tried to link it to a Bluetooth speaker he wears in matches to keep track of time (dewalt Bluetooth speaker) the sound was super quiet and he couldn’t adjust the volume to make it louder from the watch. He tried making it louder from the speaker but no dice. Any ways to make it louder?

Can you have him try some other Bluetooth devices if he has any and get back to me? I’ll try it with a Bluetooth speaker myself. I can confirm that sound adjustment works with AirPods.

Can confirm that volume adjustment works with multiple Bluetooth speakers.

Tried the app for the first time at the NRL Hunter match this weekend. Worked great on a few stages, but had some where it seemed to pause inexplicably. I wouldn't hear anything after starting it, then when looking at it after shooting the stage, the timer had only elapsed a few seconds. Not sure if the sleeve of my puffy jacket was causing it, but can't seem to replicate it. I'll continue testing to see if I can figure it out - sorry I don't have better information for you.

Did you adjust the volume on the speaker itself or from the watch? Admittedly he’s not the most tech savvy, he may have missed something.

Here’s a link to the speaker he used for reference
So I adjusted the volume on my Apple Watch, but you should be able to adjust both volumes! Have him max out the volume on his speaker, then go to the volume setting on the Apple Watch and adjust the volume slider. Tap the side button, not the crown, and a sheet should pop up with options. Go down to the speaker button, and once tapped, he should be see the volume slider!

I'll try and see if I can replicate that myself! Let me know if you find anything that's consistent in causing the issue. Also, I'm working on more customization for the countdown (including your input), but life has been real busy. Hoping to have something done soon! I know I said last week, but as you know, life happens 🤪

Added the feature to turn off the countdown timer but have an end alert. The update should be up by tomorrow around lunch!
