Hey all, I have a background in iOS development, and having realized that I rush myself way too often in nrl22/nrlx stages, I made a timer app to help with pacing. You can create custom timers along with custom alerts. I designed it with the mdt crush it timer in mind, and I also wanted something for grilling and a few other things I'm involved with to help keep track of time. The app is out for beta testing, and if you want to try it out, all you have to do is download the test flight app to you phone and then click this link. Try it out and let me know your thoughts! And for any android wear users, I am thinking about porting the app to android if there is enough interest.

*** Be sure to come back and click this link after installing test flight!

Precision Match timer is what I & most use on their Apple watch.

Will yours work on the watch as well?
Hey Defender ! The answer is yes. This is an Apple Watch app. I developed it out of the desire to have something that touches on several of my interests with prs and nrl shooting being at the top. Realizing that I often rush because I don't know where I am at with time, I wanted something similar to the crush it timer for my Apple Watch. I had been shown the Precision Match timer, but I felt that it was lacking some features that I personally would like...so here is a brief explanation of what I put into this app to help me...

- The ability to create custom timers and have them saved in a list until you decide to delete them

- A programable default timer as well as a last timer used

- Each timer can be configured with its own alerts. So once you create the alerts, they stick with that specific timer. So when I make my 2 minute par timer, 1:45, and 1:30 timer, I don't have to worry about re-creating the alerts nor worry about the wrong alerts being with the timer. And on top of that, I can easily edited the alerts! But whatever match I show up to, I just tap on the alert I need, and I know it's good to go/set how I want it.

- I added the ability to have a beeping chime along with a voice. The voice on the Apple Watch at times is hard to hear, so a beep that can be set from 1-4 beeps really helps.

- The timer can be configured with one of three gestures to start it, double tap screen, shake wrist, and double tap fingers for Apple Watch 9 and up.

- Easy timer reset when going from state to stage or when re loading the grill!

There are many more features, but these are just some that make the app really useful and intuitive! Please feel free to jump in on the beta and give me some feedback.

App is downloaded. I have a NRL22 match this weekend. I'll have some feedback for you.
Note that there is a bug with the app...when the wrist is lowered and the screen goes to sleep, the wrist shake detection won't be recognized...this is due to limitations set in place with Apple. Currently waiting to hear from Apple engineers on how this can be resolved. Just make sure you look at your watch right quick!

Very cool! I have the other one but it seems buggy to me. Especially the wrist shake.
I couldn’t get my kid the iOS designer to make me one, so I’m looking forward to try yours. Any chance it’s got Bluetooth into ear protection? That way others don’t hear how badly I screw up? 😂

It sure does! Any bluetooth device. Works with either the voice alert or "beep" alert. Just be sure though to turn down the volume on the beep...it can be loud!

Great app! Easy to set up and use. The other apps fail when my Apple Watch 10 goes to sleep/power save mode, but this app keeps on working.

The only feature I’d recommend adding is a split timer for shots. It would help to know how quickly I can get set up for the first shot and the splits on position heavy stages.

Kudos and looking forward to the full release.

App won't open for me. First time it states that it can't open and to try later. I removed it and loaded it again. Now it's completely unresponsive when I click on 'open'. I deleted it again and deleted TestFlight and reinstalled both. Still won't respond when I hit 'open'.

So once you download test flight, click on the original invitation link. After you install the app, it will be installed on your Apple Watch! So go to your apps on your watch and you should see it. The reason it won’t open is because that usually only works for apps on your phone. But once you have installed it, you’re good to go. So again, just go to your apps on your watch and you’ll be able to open it there.

Maybe if I'd read and follow instructions.

Works on the AppleWatch.

Did you turn on the health kit permission that’s new for 1.0.4? In order for the timer to work in the background, it has to run as a “workout session”. Per apples requirements, the developer has to ask the users permission to do this…I didn’t have it in previous builds, but it must be included going forward per Apple. If you saw the prompt and didn’t allow the permission, got to settings, health kit, apps, pacemaster timer, and turn on. That should bring back the functionality! Otherwise, the timer won’t run in the background as you are experiencing.

The new version works as it should, no more sleep/timer pause.
User Interface is simple and intuitive.

Recommend KISS principle as the basic app with shot timer, dope card that advances with shots, as the advanced (pay) version.
I’ll try it in a match setting and let you know how it works.
