    Rifle Scopes Another Vortex down

The Razor isn’t the top scope in PRS because Vortex is sponsoring everyone that is using it. They’re running them because they’re tough sons a bitches. These guys are being sponsored so can afford a SB or whatever but are shooting Razors. If you look back three years SB led the pack but now it’s...

    Rifle Scopes Another Vortex down

And yet more Razors have been used by the top 100 PRS shooters than any other brand for the last two years.

Gunsmithing building a 6.5 cm or rem 260

A tad off subject but...Remington developed the .260 years ago but didn’t really produce many options for ammunition. Other cartridge manufacturers didn’t show much interest and development of the cartridge I suppose because Remington didn’t. Remington didn’t even build many rifles in their...

Reloading same cartridge for two different rifles

I have two .260s and separate brass by number of reloads so it’s just as easy to separate by rifle also however since i full length resize every time I wouldn’t have a problem exchanging brass from one rifle to the other. I used to bump the shoulders but found that bumping the shoulder to...

Rifle Scopes NF ATACR vs Vortex Razor

I’ve had both of the Gen 2 Razors and sold the 3-18 to move up to the 4.5-27 and sold the 4.5-27 to buy a Atacr with the milr reticle. The glass in both are great with the NF being just very slightly better however, unless you’re using it for birding, then the Vortex will do great. The time that...

Good or Bad Brass Cleaning Method?

I have to admit that pretty, shiny brass is nice but I just tumble my brass for long range in walnut hulls and leave the carbon in the necks. I wet tumbled some 30-30 brass the other day and wow how shiny but I don’t do that for my long range brass.

Portable shooting stands - anybody use them?

I found a used Caldwell locally here and it works fine for a portable. I’d like a solid shooting bench but...I don’t shoot in the same place every time.

Anyone done this with 6.5 Creedmoor?

It looks like you are doing what we try to do with rimfire ammo. Order a brick of a certain lot and test it and if it shoots good then try and order a case of the same lot. Yeah that’s solid testing if you can order bulk of the same lot as tested.

What concentricity gauge are you using?

I’m using the Sinclair and have no issues with it. I use lots of runout gauges at work and I can’t see any need to have anything better.

Gunsmithing building a 6.5 cm or rem 260

I chose .260 because of Lapua brass but now they make brass for the creed so? The .260 is an accurate round but if you shoot a bullet that likes to be seated in the lands then you can run out of length in your magazine. I use Lapua Scenar and they don’t seem to care much about seating depth but...

Signs that its time to anneal?

That’s a very good description, Spife. That is very close to my findings as to time and distance to run the brass in between the halves. However I gave up on Tempilaq and just turn off the lights and watch for the faint glow. For the smoke, I just use a small fan to blow it away from my face.

Signs that its time to anneal?

I like my Annie. Use it in the garage with a small fan to blow the smoke away. I anneal every time because of the ease and consistency. As far as being able to tell how long to anneal, I found that turning off the lights a looking for the faint glow is the best way to judge dwell time. On...

Signs that its time to anneal?

The first signs you’ll see is split necks but, depending on brand of brass, you will notice accuracy fall off after 4 loads. Brass gets brittle after working it so many times. Proper annealing brings it back to its original state. But over annealing is dangerous and under annealing is of no...

Neck turning with a Lee Collet Die?

I've never turned a neck but am a big believer in Lee collet die but I'd say that if you've noticed that seating pressure is consistent then it would be worth it. I'm anxious to hear how this experiment turned out. Let us know but...if it works then I'll be tempted to start turning necks...

    22 WMR?

The big problem I see is there isn't any .22 WMR match ammo.

    Pictures don't make sense......

I’m not a conspiracy theorist but... not a lot of what has came out about all this has added up and...some of the story changes to fit a narrative. I’d dismiss this as a conspiracy but with all of the BS pics and stories and the fact that the lefty government was behind fast and furious for no...

Rifle Scopes Anyone running NF SHV F1 + Tikka CTR?

I bought an SHV to put on my .260 backup rifle however it ended up going on my precision .22 trainer and that's not the best application for that scope. The glass is great. I like the reticle and the illumination is good but the 5 mil per turn turrets isn't enough for a .22 that you're...

Rifle Scopes Good spotting scope with long eye releif?

If you’re not wanting to spend a fortune the Leupold Gold Ring has excellent eye relief. I’m not sure what you’re using the scope for but I’ve used one for several years spotting hits and misses on steel and it works great. The reason I bought the GR was I didn’t have to have my eye up against...
