Rimfire trainer optic and accuracy suggestions?

I’m running a NF SHV F1 on my .22 trainer and like it a lot however it has 5 mils of travel on elevation and it takes a lot of cranking past 200 yards. Other than that I very much like the SHV scope. Same reticle as my Atacr so it works well as a trainer. I’ve got a Cronus coming and am thinking...

Reloading newby dies question - Bushing vs FL vs Collet/Body vs etc

If I’ve followed this thread correctly, it sounds like you are weighing the benefits of using a collet die like a Lee collet die and just bumping the shoulder with a body die. My opinion is this works great. The benefits are you can straighten any runout from your case necks with the collet die...

    Cz 455 PT build help

I had an EGW 20 moa and liked it but most of the CZ shooters that I shot with used the dip rails and had no complaints.

    Help sizing 6.5x47 to 6mm??

I’ve got one back ordered from Brownells. I looked all over and no one had one in stock (maybe because of its popularity). Brownells had a discount coupon so I ordered a box of brass too. I haven’t even got a barrel yet so I’m not in a big hurry. I used my Cabelas bucks and ordered a Forster...

    Quality Vibratory Tumblers

I started with the Frankford Arsenal and the cord wiring was not very strong but my son is an electrician and he rewired it for me and after 8-10 years it's still going strong. I also bought the TT 18 and it was a great tumbler but didn't do any better than the Frankford. I sold the TT when I...

    Using H4831sc in 6x47L.

I'm not sure how much difference powder makes in throat erosion however I'm looking for a powder that has good temperature stability and is slower burning to try and save barrel wear. Looks like for most of the 6mm and 6.5s H4350 is the go-to powder and I have plenty however I'm going from .260...

    Help Scope the New Vudoo

For .22s especially I like parallax that adjusts down to 25 yards. I put a Nightforce SHV on my Stiller 2500 and like it except it’s a 5 Mil per rev of the turrets.

    Euro Optic Rimfire Trainer

Make sure you show the bottom metal when you post it for sale. Flatland1 built one of these and I bought it from him. The only thing he couldn't duplicate was the bottom metal. Mine shoots great and I love the action and stock. I didn't get to shoot mine as much this year but hope to next year.

    Need ammo help

It's so hard to ship ammo for an individual that it will be just as cheap to order it from someplace like Grafs. I ended up buying a brick of several (yeah that's kind of expensive) different brands/tier levels and lots. If I found something that didn't shoot very well I sold it at our local...

    Need ammo help

I have found that SK rifle match to be the most consistent from batch to batch. My experience and one of my fellow shooters was that Center X didn't shoot as well as Rifle match. Go figure. I have at times shot very good groups with SK Standard Plus but doesn't do it consistently. I couldn't...

    Range Back Recommendations?

I've had the Midway and if you use them much then they don't hold up. Some of Midway's cheap stuff is worth the money but I wouldn't/didn't buy a second range bag. Zippers didn't hold up, cloth didn't hold up. I really like how the Eberlestock bag is laid out. Plenty of room but not as bulky...

    .22 trainer options?

A Ruger 10/22 is a good choice for a starter because there are SO many upgrades out there however I've not shot with anyone that had a tricked out 10/22 to know exactly what their accuracy potential is but...CZ 455s can be bought for right around $400 and then the options are endless as how you...

Sidearms & Scatterguns How much would you pay for a custom 1911?

I've had lots of 1911s over the years. When I was a kid the only choice you had off the shelf was Colt. I had three of them and only one of them was very reliable. Along came names like Para, Kimber, SA. All were ok guns and I had several of each of those brands to choose from but then I...

New Toy.......now I need some advice

Usually the grooves on the receiver are 11mm. I had an EGW 20 moa on my CZ however Murphy precision makes very nice ones at the top of the price range.

New Toy.......now I need some advice

I'd certainly go with something that focuses down to 25 yards or less. Some of the matches we have shoot a few targets at 25 yards. The scopes I'm seeing are the Athlons a lot. I've got a Nightforce SHV ffp that matches the reticle on my long range rifle. I think it is 4-14 and I'm on 10-12...

Rifle Scopes Rifle-Mount Rig To Test Scope Tracking On-The-Gun?

I have the Hyskore vise and it works fine...not great but it has a decent clamp to keep the rifle tight, a strap to hold it in the vise tight and some leveling legs so you can zero the rifle/scope. It needs a solid bench to sit on. I've successfully tested 2 gen II razors, 1 gen I razor, two...

Rifle Scopes Return to zero failures

Frank I've been using the Hyskore sighting and cleaning vise from Cabelas for doing my tall target test. It isn't perfect however it is solid enough, if set on a solid bench, to hold the rifle still while I dial it up and down and side to side. I hate to pull scopes off to test them then have...
