    You can adjust the tension a bit. I need to do this when switching from my bolt rifle to AR. Not a big thing but a bit of a PITA as it only takes a little adjustment to really tighten up.

    I called them yesterday, its in production and in two weeks it should be ready. That's pretty much right on schedule from what I was told when I placed the order. No problem adding two flush cups on the left side. Now I need to look for that sling.

    Yes the rear mounting point is lower than the front on a Remington 700. Sorta flatter also. When you mounted the rings maybe the two piece base was swapped front to rear. I like the one piece base but you can get good results with two piece base and matched/ lapped rings.

    Rifle Scopes Ring spacing on base

    I have the same hardware and set it up with the front ring at the very forward end of the base and the rear ring one notch forward from the rear of the base. This gives me good eye relief and the rings still have some forward/ rearward adjustment travel for the scope. What height rings did you use?

    Scope ring height, SPS and Vortex

    I have the Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 on an SPS tactical AAC-SD and used the Badger single piece 20 moa base with high rings, 1.125". I was concerned with bolt clearance but think now I could have used badger medium rings.
