Barrett MRAD 338 and 300 WIN

A couple things first. I found that when developing a load for shooting beyond 500 yds, that correct BC & MV entered into my BORS library plus using & full length resizing die with a bushing made a huge difference. Matt in the BORS section of Barrett was a big help in developing accurate BC...

Barrett MRAD 338 and 300 WIN

You are not alone. I've had my MRAD in .338LM for a couple years & finally got the .300wm barrel & conversion kit. Have several loads developed for both & will get back to you with specifics when I have a little more time. In general terms, for the .338 I shoot Berger 250 & 300 grain vld's...

300 WIN MAG? 300 Norma MAG? 338 Norma Mag? 338 Lapua

I have a Barrett MRAD in .338LM, and a ArmaLite AR-30 in .300wm. Love them both with an edge performance wise to the .338lm due to b.c., but cost wise to the .300wm. Have ordered the .300wm barrel & conversion kit for the MRAD and suspect I'll shoot the .300wm to save money on reloading...

match rifle ammo: dillon 550b vs 650

I'm getting ready to do the same exact thing. I just get so frustrated with the Hornady L&L and am ordering the 650xl. Did you keep the L&L, or is there a market for an used one. Like you, I also load all my rifle reloads on a single stage.

    Bushing Die, reason for Expander?

Maybe I misunderstand your question, but when you get the die, remove the expander & just let the bushing size the neck. you defeat the purpose of the bushing if you leave the expander on. Sorry if this answer was off base.

    Savage 110BA .338 reloading

Re: Savage 110BA .338 reloading Now that you've got that out of the way as to brass. On to chrony's. I highly recommend a magneto Speed. Trust me, you'll love it if you try it. Of course that's what she said.: Then there are dies. If you want accuracy @ 1000 yds +, I recommend you get...

    Savage 110BA .338 reloading

    Savage 110BA .338 reloading

Re: Savage 110BA .338 reloading Get new Lapua brass, add a Berger Hybrid OTM 250 grain bullet along with Retumbo or H 1000 & have fun. With both powders, start in the mid 80's & work up in .5 increments. You'll probably wind up in the low to mid 90's for both. The job will be easier if you...

Need to know your 250 Scenar/RL-25 loads- 338 Lap

Re: Need to know your 250 Scenar/RL-25 loads- 338 Lap If you contact Walt Berger, he will tell you 89 is max load for his 300's due to size of his bullet, while reloads books will show more. I read earlier posts from this website that got up to 92 gr with scenars, so kept testing until i...

Re: Need to know your 250 Scenar/RL-25 loads- 338 Lap Can't help with RL-25. Just finished finalizing my loads for my MRAD in .338LM with Berger 250's & 300's with both Retumbo & H1000. Happy to give you, or anyone else, that data if that would help. Used a MagnitoSpeed Bayo on my Elite...

    Tips for 300wm reloading

Re: Tips for 300wm reloading I load a lot of different cartridges on my rock Chucker & for what ever reasons, the 300 WM gave me the most problems. Here were the two most common. A bulge in the brass above the belt after a couple of firings & loose neck tension. I solved both of those by...
