    Rifle Scopes Scope mount options

My razor has an OD of 2.56 which means you need a minimum of 1.28 to clear the rail. ADM has good drawings on their site so you can see the height over centerline with their various options.

Scope rings and QD scope mount question

You probably don't need a cantilever mount as the rail on a large frame AR will let you get the scope plenty far forward. That said I do use a cantilever mount as I move the scope between small and large frame ARs. I use a 20 MOA mount on my ARs. There is no downside and you'll have it if you...

    When do you anneal?

I decap with a decaping die so I can tumble without primers to get the primer pocket clean. If I decap in the sizing die and tumbled after then all the dirt and debris would be in my sizing die potentially causing excessive maintenance and wear. I clean brass before annealing because it...

    When do you anneal?

Agreed. I decap, tumble then anneal.

Which 6.5 Creedmoor dies for a beginner with Lee Challenger Kit?

I started with RCBS dies and migrated everything to Redding dies after I started getting more serious about precision. If I could do it all over again I would buy the Redding dies to start to save money. I would get a Redding Full length sizing die and Redding competition seating die. Get any...

    6.5 Creedmoor Seating Issue

The fact that your sized brass isn't growing when you seat a bullet means that you don't have enough neck tension...but you figured that out already. Your sized brass seems too large. It seems like you are setting the die enough to size as it is changing size when running through the sizing die...

    6.5 Creedmoor Seating Issue

You shouldn't need anything else. To troubleshoot try measuring the od of the neck of the brass before FL sizing, after sizing and after seating. Also let us know what type brass and projectile you are using. Ive used as light as .001 neck tension (od after seating minus od after sizing) and...

Range Report Am I calculating this group right?

A quick calculation in Ballistic AE says 0.263". Try measuring with calipers from the gray edge of the holes as opposed to just the missing paper.

    New to Reloading: Advice Please

I've never reloaded 338 but here are 2 quick videos I did for friends that kept asking about reloading. It's pretty basic but it reviews the steps that I do for reloading. The first video is on case prep. https://youtu.be/SLbp_lQ5VUU The second video is on charging and seating...

Cause of reticle hop with some rifles?

When I shoot groups, I dry fire until the reticle remains constant. If the reticle moves on dry fire I rebuild my position and try again. The typical cause for me is uneven pressure on the rifle because I'm not at my natural point of aim and I'm forcing the rifle on target. Since it's very...

A good ar scope mount (30mm)

Depends on the scope geometry, eye relief, length of pull and the way you naturally mount your rifle. I prefer one piece cantilever mounts so I am not limited by the available length of the upper receiver.

    Wide swings in seating depth

0.015 difference in seating depth is a huge amount. Are you sure the comparator is picking up the same spot on all the bullets? Try measuring coal. That should vary by a similar amount probably not exact but you'd know if it was 10-15 thou off vs 1-3 thou off. If the bullets are truly seating...

PVA creedmoor and copper creek loads...help!

I have a PVA barrel in 6.5 CM for an AR. I use 140 ELD-M over 41.4 H4350 in Norma brass with BR-2 primers. I only tried up to 42.0 and never got more than slightly flattened primers and the faintest ejector marks. It was also shooting the factory Hornady 140 match loads very well. I seem to...

A good ar scope mount (30mm)

I have a couple American defense manufacturing mounts and really like them. They are reliable strong mounts available in many sizes for a good price. They are known for their qd mounts. Many top quality manufacturers like B&T industries (makers of the Atlas bipod) use ADM mounts on their products.

Rifle Scopes True Return to Zero mounts

I have 2 ADM mounts. One is a 20 MOA that I switch between ARs and one is a parallel mount that I switch between bolt guns that already have 20 MOA rails. Between rifles both mounts are close enough to keep you on paper. Maybe 1.5 mils to bring back to zero. I rarely take them off and put them...

Any experience with the BT57-QK – Accu-Shot Accuracy International AT (ASAIAT) Monopod

I have a CTK AI bipod on an AIAT. It is pretty crude the way you cut away the stock sides and the fact that it sticks below the bottom of the stock when fully retracted. I also have a BT-12 on a Magpul PRS stock. I like the way it folds and rides on a bag when collapsed. The locking and...

    AIAT Gradous Replacement Barrel

I don't know about Gradous but it's hard to pass up a Patriot Valley Arms prefit for 15% less. That's where I'm going for a 6.5 CM for my AT...someday.

    Could use some pointers.

I take back my comment, those groups are good but I bet with an AI AX you can reduce them by about 50%. That is one hell of a rifle. Good luck!

    Could use some pointers.

Looks like just over 1.5" @ 350 yards. That's about .5 MOA. That's pretty good if it's consistent with larger groups. But to answer your question there could be multiple causes to vertical stringing: breath control, shoulder alignment, rear bag pressure...
