    TriggerTech AR-10’s

I was under the impression that AR-15 and AR-10 triggers were interchangeable. Is that not the case?

New batch of CCI 450 and several failed

I recently had an issue with some CCI 200 primers (large rifle). I had two hang fires and three failures to fire out of 35 rounds. One of the failed to fire rounds fired on second attempt, the other two failed multiple attempts. Definitely not a seating depth issue. This is brass I have loaded...

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

If you'll be shooting strictly light bullets, why not go 12 or even 14 twist? Slightly higher velocity and even more explosive results.

Christensen Arms MPR .300 inaccuracies. Rude customer service and lousy manufacturing.

I would suggest trying it with a proven scope just to rule out the possibility that your new scope isn't the problem, as unlikely as that may be. No need to put dozens of rounds through it, just one 5 shot group will be difinitive. If the problem persists, send it back and give them the chance...

    Kinetic Research Group SOTIC?

Sounds like you might need to have the firing pin turned down and the bolt face bushed. I had to do this on a couple of rifles that were fine with large rifle primers but would pierce small primers with even moderate loads. If that turns out to be the case, www.gretanrifles.com is the go to...

    Goldilocks - which "middle" 7mm?

I have two rifles chambered in 284 Win. It's a great round although you need a long action to realize it's full potential. Very accurate, manageable recoil, enough power to handle the heavy 7mm bullets, plenty of knock down power for hunting or long range steel, good brass availability, lots of...

    Recommended powder for 6.5 creedmore

Handloading will improve accuracy somewhat if you know what you're doing, but not a ton. Typically, I get about .1 moa improvement at 100 yards and maybe .3 moa beyond 600 yards. I've been reloading for 30 years and my best reloads are only slightly better than what I can get from Hornady match...

    Side charging uppers?

The sidecharger system from 6mmar.com is just a small knob thread into the bolt. This has two major drawbacks. 1. It reciprocates with the bolt. 2. You have to remove it every time you need to pull the bolt. I quickly left mine off and just used the standard top charger.

    Kinetic Research Group SOTIC?

Sounds promising. Thanks for the update.

    Best varmint bullet / cartridge

If you go 6mm, try the Berger 95gr Hunting VLD. They are extremely accurate and expand well on small varmints but still have more than enough penetration to handle coyote and even hogs. I use them in a 6mm Remington and have had great results. Berger also makes an 87gr Hunting VLD if you want...

    Kinetic Research Group SOTIC?

Cool. I'm very interested to see how the 6BRA does in a SOTIC. I was tempted to do a 6 Dasher for mine, but wasn't certain if the SOTIC action would feed, extract and eject 6 BR variants efficiently. Thanks for being the test mule!

5.56 77grn hunting bullet selection and reloading advice.

77gr SMKs have worked well for me. 77gr Lapua Scenars are extremely accurate, but not sure how they perform on game. Load to max mag length with either Varget or VVN-140.

    Hodgon H355 powder

Works very well for 223 with light to mid weight bullets. It will work for 308, but definitely not the best choice. Too fast for 260 or 6.5 Creedmoor.

    260 Rem match load recommendations

Don't rule out H-4831. I have two 260s and they both love that powder. One likes 47.6 gr (TRG-22) and the other 46.7 (DTA, SAC barrel). Loaded with pretty much any 136 to 142 grain match grade bullet, both rifles will consistently shoot well under 1/2 moa.

Triggertech Diamond AR in a JP LRP07?

According to the info from JP, their trigger can only go to 3.5# minimum pull weight and requires changing out springs to adjust pull weight. The Triggertech is a cartridge design that is a one piece drop in and can be safely adjusted to as low as 1.5#. I can adjust it very light for precision...

New JP Semi-Monolithic LRI-20 Large Frame Upper

Anyone take delivery and get some trigger time yet on the LRI20? I have a LRP07 in 6.5 Creedmoor and was thinking of ordering a 308 upper for it. Would love to get some first hand feedback.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Marlin's current quality?

Have you looked at the Winchester (Miroku) lever guns? If you can get over the fact that they are made in Japan, you will be very pleasantly surprised. I bought a model 1873 in .357 mag a year or so ago. Probably the best built production rifle I have ever owned and very accurate with both cast...

    Varmint trigger for AR-15

The RR NM is fine for hunting. I used one for many years and can't say I ever missed a shot because of it. However, if price is no object, get the TT Diamond. I just put one in my AR10 and it's sweet! I also have an AR with a Giessle high speed. Nice trigger, but I think the TT is much better...
