    34mm seems to become the standard for serious tactical scopes. That said, having useful reticles, sufficient elevation adjustments, repeatable adjustments and optical performance should dictate the tube diameter. There should be a valid reason to go with a 34mm tube beyond marketing.

    If these are the plated, I would have no hesitation in using those bullets. 9mm ~ 0.355/0.356" The 0.001" difference will make no difference.

    There's a lot of powders between 4895 and BLC-2. Since you're only shooting to 600M, highest velocity shouldn't be your primary concern. IMO you want a good load that is stable across various conditions. The go to powders (H4895, IMR4064, Varget) will get you there. Another 75-100fps isn't...

    Since the "click" is occurring with or without firing, I would pull the firing pin assembly and see if it still occurs. If the click goes away then I would look at the cocking ramp for some defect. If it still occurs with the firing pin assembly removed, I would look at the lugs and breech cone.

    Optically Meopta might be on par with top-tier glass (I have an old steel tube Meopta) but feature-wise they are woefully behind the times. They may be fine for square range paper punching but for our game it's a NOGO. They could make some inroads with binos and spotting scopes.

    Make up a dummy round with the bullet you want to shoot at the length you want. The gunsmith should be able to cut the freebore for it.

    In a 6.5mm the 8-twist has been the default but a 7.5 or 7-twist will work just as well.

    Too many variables, not enough details. BTW have you taken the sideplate off your S&W? Parts inside are not stainless.
