20moa base for marlin and stock??

Re: 20moa base for marlin and stock?? I am fairly sure the 880sq has the same receiver/barrel as the 917 series rifles. You can buy any OEM Marlin stock directly from marlin. I don't think they have any McMillan or B&C style stocks, but they do have some really nice laminated thumbhole...

Rifle Scopes Lowest R700 SA base?

Re: Lowest R700 SA base? I had this same question a while back and if I remember correctly, the Warne was the lowest mount. Use the Sniper's Hide search and I'll bet you can dig up the old posts and some listed heights. Good luck!

    Rem 700 Stock Compatibility

I recently picked up a Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .223. Put 45 rounds down the tube so far and it is a shooter! As I had previously been told on the hide, the Hogue stock is a bit flexible and causes vertical stringing when I use a bipod. Anyway, I was wondering if I could drop this setup...

Best out of the box accuracy on a .223

Re: Best out of the box accuracy on a .223 Thanks for all the help! After reading the responses, it looks like the Savage (10FP, Precision Carbine, or other new style Savage), Remington SPS Tactical and the Tikka T3 lite are the top 3 suggestions. That and just spend more money on...

Best out of the box accuracy on a .223

Hello all, I'm thinking of picking up a bolt action .223 for hunting and target shooting out to 400-600yds and was hoping for a few suggestions. I'm on a budget around $600 and would like find a gun that just plain shoots (MOA or less on factory match ammo) without a whole lot of customization...

Rifle Scopes Nikon Buckmaster vs Monarch

I'm thinking of picking up a new Nikon scope and am having trouble deciding between the buckmaster 4.5-44x40mm and the monarch 4-16x42mm. Is the monarch worth the extra $120 dollars? I've done searches here on the hide and both scopes have great reviews. Anyone own both or done a side by side...

Rifle Scopes Super Sniper Customer Service

Re: Super Sniper Customer Service Would a slight miss-alignment of the rings cause enough binding of the internal parts to cause this problem? I'm talking about a very very small mis-alignment. Almost undetectable to the eye. I noticed, after mounting a different scope, that the I when...

Rifle Scopes Super Sniper Customer Service

Re: Super Sniper Customer Service Called Warne today. The recommended torque is 25 in lbs. I was really hoping you were right and that was the problem. I'm going to see if I can't get a hold of a tasco tech person and see what they think. Thanks for the suggestions!

Rifle Scopes Super Sniper Customer Service

Re: Super Sniper Customer Service Thanks for the help guys. I'll be sending it off soon. So this keeps getting better and better. This morning I removed the scope and gave it a once over before packaging it up. I gave the focus a turn and sure enough, it worked again! So now I'm really...

Rifle Scopes Super Sniper Customer Service

I had a super sniper side focus quit working on me. Something internally isn't quite engaging and I think I'm going to have to send it in for work. I was just wondering what experiences people have had dealing with their customer service. Thanks!

$400 budget for rimfire glass.....Which glass?

Re: $400 budget for rimfire glass.....Which glass? I have a Bushnell 3200 10x40 on a 17HMR. Great glass for the money. The only downside is the lack of parallax adjustment. What are your applications for this rifle? Hunting, target shooting, long range practice?

    Nikon optics

Re: Nikon optics Thanks for all the input. I might have to give the Bushnell 3200 5-15 Tactical a try. The adjustments on my 10X have been fairly accurate and repeatable. I would like to imagine that would be the case with the 5-15.

    Nikon optics

I was hoping for some opinions on the Nikon Bushmaster line of scopes. I'm wanting to upgrade the scope on my 17HMR from a Bushnell 3200 10X to something with a bit more power and focusing ability without breaking the bank. I'm mainly looking at: Buckmasters 4.5-14x40 SF mil-dot Buchmasters...
