Best Bolt-Action Tactical Sniper Rifle for the money?

AI AT would be my first suggestion, then the DT SRS A1/2. the DT allows you to run everything from 338 down to 223. The DT SRS A1 can be found around 3,800-3,900 new right now with the clearance going on for the new A2. I would recommend you try to get behind one first. EDIT: I missed the light...

    LaRue Tactical Ultimate Upper Kits

Rock River have been known to be exceptionally accurate, not just for their price but compared to much higher priced guns. You can always get an Aero Precision builders kit and spec out your own parts and build it on your kitchen table.

    LaRue Tactical Ultimate Upper Kits

I guess accuracy wise its hot or miss. I bought a Craddock Grendel for mine because I wasn't satisfied with the accuracy of the factory barrel. its still a good deal. I had both a kit and a full rifle. The full rifle is no better than the pieced together kit with exception of being factory FDE.

Rifle Scopes Good Optics Under $1,700

Brand new Razor Gen 2s can be had between 1,400 for 3-18 and 1,850 for the 4.5-27. I don't think there's a better deal in optics.

    Axiom vs Vector Curtis Actions

Just a personal preference, generally not a fan of torqueing things nearly the objective bell. It can most certainly be done. Depending on the reason for the quick change, i.e. swap between calibers or a DIY replacement you're going to have to rezero anyway. If its just switching between...

    Axiom vs Vector Curtis Actions

Not from the factory. I think the Vector is closest thing for you other than an AI or DT SRS. There are options to add the Barloc to your action but I would recommend taking the scope off for a barrel swap. The Vector set screw system is quite simple and you could leave the scope on I suppose...

    Comparing two chassis-user opinions please

I've had both and prefer the Whiskey 3. It's lighter and more adjustable. It took a long time to get comfortable with the AICS. KRG offers so many options and accessories and the CS is top notch.

Gunsmithing POF Monolith Rail and barrel swap

Most POF rebarrels end up converting to direct gas impingement. This is what GAP was doing. I don't think the gas piston system will work with the rifle length.

Looking for barrel with specific specs...

Probably going to have to have a custom blank spun up. Contact Craddock and see if they can spin you up a tube

    Axiom vs Vector Curtis Actions

Vector also has the integral lug and integral rail. along with the switch lug type feature. its kind of like the difference between a defiance Rebel and Defiance Deviant (minus the switch feature)

    DT COVERT HELP!

I'd run some FGMM 175 or 185 jugs through it, or some DT ammo, somethings definitely wrong. i did find the it was a lot harder to drive my SRSA1 than my conventional rifles.

    Larue UU kits

i have a full larue Grendel and another 5.56 built from thekit. Larue uppers may have some cosmetic alignments issues with other lowers. fit and finish with the Larue lowers is excellent. My Grendel has a test target of .80 MOA, not stellar but can make reliable hits at 575. you can buy bolts...

Cutting down a heavy fluted barrel

"heavy" is very subjective. I varmint contour barrel is considered a heavy profile, but its nothing to an m24/M40 or MTU contour. and a fluted varmint or sender type profile might certain not have enough wall thickness to cut back and thread

Cutting down a heavy fluted barrel

it looks ugly but if you put a good brake on it helps blend it

Since I have no idea when I will get a JHR.....

LRI could probably build you a barreled action in 60 days or less, then drop into your chassis of choice
