    Gunsmithing Barrel contouring question

I bet you can sell that blank and buy what you want cheaper than you can have that one contoured.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Auto knives

I ended up with a benchmade mini entourage. It is h&k branded with a tanto blade. It was in my price range and about what I wanted. I also like the Amadeus auto, but it was more expensive. Thanks for all of the suggestions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Suppressors Pss owners

I just bought a PSS to use with my 300 blkout subs and I intend to use it hunting as well. I don't have it yet so I'm tagging this to see the replies.

    TAB GEAR request for help.

I liked this idea so much that I ordered a thermarest lumbar pillow to try. I was going to make a 1000D cover for it and use it as a rear bag, but after trying it for a few minutes I found that it is not nearly as stable as a bean bag. The crosshairs shake a whole lot more.

    TAB GEAR request for help.

I have used camping mats that had a twist valve to fill them with. They even had foam inside so that they would inflate themselves. I don't see why the same principle wouldn't work for a rear bag. It would be almost instantly infinitely adjustable...and you wouldn't need a pump or even your...

    TAB GEAR request for help.

I have been making homemade bags for some time now. I use dry beans and have never had a problem. I also use airsoft bb's in rear bags that I think might get wet.

    Suppressors Thunder Beast 223 P-1

Those rounds are super sonic. You can't suppress the sonic crack. Get some 1040 cci standard velocity and all you will hear is the action. I shoot standard velocity out of my bolt gun and can hear the firing pin drop. Cci green tag works too...or most anything running slower than 1100. Also, if...

Cutting foam in a pelican case

That works well. I have done it with my cases. It works even better if you have enough foam to glue the two bottom pieces together after they are cut out. Also, you can get foam much cheaper from foam factory's online store. I buy the charcoal firm foam for most of my cases If you want a...

RELOADING PROBLEM what can I do???

You need a bushing in order for these dies to size the neck (which absolutely must be sized). I recommend the tin bushings as they don't require lube when only neck sizing.

RELOADING PROBLEM what can I do???

Are these bushing dies? Are you using a bushing in them? If so...and you are sizing them far enough down then you have too large of a bushing. If your bushing was right on the border with new brass it might be too big with multi fired brass. Multi fired brass is harder (not annealed) and also...

RELOADING PROBLEM what can I do???

What exactly do you mean by a partial length size? What die did you use? The neck always needs to be sized. That can be done with a neck die that only sizes the neck or a full length die sizing the full length including the neck. You can pull the decapping pin and full length size again...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Auto knives

Thanks for the advice and offers. I am still in the research phase of deciding what I want, so for now I am going to keep reading. I like the benchmade knives and May spring for one of them (pun intended). Can anyone tell me the differences in steel used and which is more desirable?

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Auto knives

Our laws here have recently changed allowing auto knives...so I am in the market for one. I am looking for opinions from actual users of auto knives. Which ones are good and which ones to stay away from. I want one for everyday carry...so I don't want to spend $300. I am looking in the $100...

Subsonic .308 Load. Trail Boss or Titegroup?

I have used tight group and it works. Just watch your twist rate and make sure your heavy bullets are stabilizing at subsonic speeds before screwing on a can. Round nose bullets stabilize better than smk's. Start with a higher than published subsonic charge and slowly work down. The danger is...

1000 Yard hit with a 9mm Handgun.........What do you say?

I would guess he shot many many rounds before actually getting a hit. Like a photographer he is only showing what looks good. The 9mm factory ammo In a perfect rifle is not capable of that accuracy. A lot of luck is involved.

    Suppressors Buying first suppressor

30P-1 is going to be very hard to beat. If you want a slightly shorter can so that it is more convenient for hunting then go with the PS, but keep in mind that you will sacrifice some sound reduction to go with the smaller one. You might check with Rangerwalker71 here. He has prices that are...

New Winchester .30-06 brass not long enough to trim square?

you really ought to go ahead and buy a full length die. You will want it eventually to bump the shoulders back...you can't neck size forever without causing headspace issues where the bolt won't close.
